Turkey Trot

On Thanksgiving, there was a

marathon starting very early in

the morning. It is TURKEY

TROT!!! Thousands of people

attend this annual marathon on

Thanksgiving. This was my

second time volunteering and

thus I wasn’t as lost as the first

time I volunteered. Although the

volunteering was very tiring

both because of the work and

that the fact one needs to wake

up early to start this event, it

was another successful Turkey

Trot in which I had lots of fun.

Braille Bibles

Braille Bibles, a very popular

event in Paschal High School

is still probably one of the

best ways to both gain hours

and have fun without an

overwork load. It happens

every Wednesday after the

meeting with Habitat for

Humanity. The

upperclassmen give you a

ride from and back to Paschal.

When you reach the church,

it is when your bible making

starts. The making works like

that of a conveyor belt and

each person has a job to do at

each “station”. We continue

to work in this fashion until

each bible is done. We usually

make about 2-3 bibles every

time we

do this event so come

join next time for an

awesome experience.

Thanksgiving Break was a great Want to have fun with your time to serve others and Paschal fellow Key Clubbers? Contact High School Key Club did just Aashna Bhatia to make that fun this. At the annual Parade of come true!! Lights in Fort Worth, a ton of Key Clubbers came out to help and walk in the parade. This was definitely one of the most fun festive events of the year. There were over a hundred floats, which were all unique and covered in beautiful lights. I had so much fun being in the parade and getting to dance to Holiday music as I walked the streets of

The Poetry Column

When you can’t see the

letter “q” or “w” We braille to “u” right on cue When your house is overcome by mildew And it has become a house needing revalue We come to the rescue Renewing the residue When you don’t have a source of revenue And you’re out on the streets after curfew We serve stew And other things on our menu But sadly there is always too few… When you don’t have a back to support you WE GOT YOUR BACK.
