What the sentence is about
What makes a sentence• Nouns or Subject
• Verbs
• Direct Objects
• Indirect Objects
• Punctuation
The subject is the center of the sentence.
The verb gives the sentence life (action)
The object, typically direct, is what the subject and verb are doing
Example of Sentence Structure
subject + verb + what? or who? = direct object
Here are examples of the formula in action:

Zippy, Maurice = subjects; played = verb. Zippy and Maurice played what? Soccer = direct object.
