Hewas General Manager of the highlyranked Auberge Saint Antoine inCanada, a Relais an Chateauxproperty, during its development andpre-opening phase.Mr. Price attended the CornellUniversity General Managers programand is a MBA graduate of the IESEBusiness School in Barcelona,Spain. He brings with him a robustvision of growth for the hotel thatis based on superior customerservice and excellent memorableexperiences. In his spare time, Mr.Price likes to swim, play hockey,tennis and take in the night life ofBarbados.

What’s to Come?Meetings, Incentives & Events at The Crane:A significant emphasis in 2008 will be on the groups
business to include in part incentive groups, weddings
and other banquets and events. Last year we had a total
of 50 events on property with weddings generating 50%
of the business. We expect to grow this business
significantly, and have put all the measures in place to
meet the current demands. On completion of The Crane’s
development, our property will feature a total of four
function suites, varying from an executive style boardroom
to meeting facilities to accommodate up to 120 persons.
The present facility, the historic Pavilion Room, dates back
to the late 1800s, and adjoins L’Azure Restaurant. The new
function suites will be located within The Crane Village.
WEEKLY LIVE ENTERTAINMENTWITH DINNER AND DANCE SETTINGTO BEGIN IN FEBRUARY 2008.
The Greening of The Crane:As previously mentioned the resort has formed a GreenTeam to take on the task of ensuring that the resort issupporting sustainable tourism and preserving ourprecious natural resources on the island.Included on the team are all the heads of departmentsand many line staff members. A recent presentation byLoreto Duffy-Mayers, Vice-Chairman of the CaribbeanAlliance for Sustainable Tourism (CAST) underscoredthe need for the resort to put its full efforts behind thisworthy endeavour and the team has already startedputting in place initiatives to preserve our natural resourcesand conserve energy and water.
Cliff Top Pools Looking FabulousBeautiful landscaping has enhanced the 4 Cliff Pools, which has now become a relaxing haven for guests. Our
Carriage House bar is now also enjoyed by guests looking for a light lunch and exotic cocktails.
Building 8Adding twentyeight new rooms to theCrane’s inventoryBuilding8 isnow open and operational, with landscaping in the frontof the building continuing to progress.
Crane VillageThe buildings in the Village are starting to look more
complete. The roofs have been put in place on most
structures, and painting of the exteriors has begun. On
completion in late 2008, this area will include a new
Italian restaurant, a coffee shop with bakery, retail
shops, a jazz bar, fitness centre, new concierge and
reception and a conference centre.
