Tournament Rules 2 Daily Texas Hold’em Poker Tournaments – July 2016
2015-02-25/CL.ch 10630.1.3.1 Tournois journaliers – Juillet 2016
For ninety-dollar ($90) Bounty tournaments, an amount of fifty dollars ($50) will be allocated to the prize, five dollars ($5) to dealer tips, ten dollars ($10) to cover administrative costs and twenty-five dollars ($25) to the Bounty.
For one-hundred-and-seventy-five-dollar ($175) tournaments, an amount of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) will be allocated to the prize, five dollars ($5) to dealer tips, and twenty dollars ($20) to cover administrative costs.
3. Subject to the application of Section 13, as appropriate, each participant may register only once.
4. Third-party representation at the Tournament is strictly prohibited.
5. Employees of the Société des casinos du Québec inc. (“SCQ”) may not participate in a Tournament.
6. Position assignments at the start of the Tournament and at the beginning of the final game, if appropriate, will be determined by random draw.
7. All participants will begin Tournament play at the same time.
8. If an unoccupied position remains available after the Tournament start signal, a participant may re-register up until the end of the first break. The stake for such participants will be as indicated in Section 11.
9. Participants who arrive after the start signal may join a Tournament, although they must take into consideration that the dealer will have collected chips in the amount of each blind that would have been played had the participant been present. However, participants will be deemed to have dropped out of the Tournament as soon as one of the two following situations occurs: 1) their stake is insufficient to cover the blind they would have had to play were they present, or 2) their rank during the Tournament, had they been present, would have qualified them to win a Tournament prize.
10. If no unoccupied positions are available, participants who so wish may, up until the end of Level 4, have their names added to a waiting list for a chance to play in a Tournament in the event a position becomes free following a participant’s elimination. Should a break be underway when the registration period ends, registrations will continue to be accepted until the Tournament resumes. The stake for such participants will be as indicated in Section 11.
11. At the start of a Tournament, each participant will receive non-cashable tournament chips in the amount of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) for regular sixty-five-dollar ($65) tournaments, twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) for regular one-hundred-and-seventy-five-dollar ($175) tournaments and twenty five thousand dollars ($25,000) for Deep Stack tournaments.
12. During a Tournament, tournament chips must always remain in the designated chip area on the table and in sight of other participants.
13. No resupply will be permitted during a Tournament. Participants who are eliminated from the Tournament prior to the end of the first break may, however, re-register for the same Tournament subject to the conditions indicated in Sections 8 and 10. Such new registration is, therefore, not considered resupply.
14. If, before the first (1st) break, participants consider their stake insufficient, they may, if allowed at the table, surrender and have their name added to the waiting list for a chance to again participate in the same Tournament, following the order on the list, if and when a seat becomes available. A Supervisor will remove abandoned chips from the Tournament. Should the surrender take place during a Bounty tournament, the Bounty amount will be placed in the pot for the following hand at the table where the surrender occurred.

15. The game category will be “no limits.”
16. For the first hand of a Tournament at each table, as well as for the first hand of the final game at the table designated for that purpose, the dealer button will be placed at the first position on the dealer’s right.
17. Bet amounts will be increased at specific rounds according to the Bet Tables indicated in Appendix A of the rules herein.
18. There will be a break after two (2) hours of play in all Tournaments.
19. Participants, whether or not they are present, must place their bets in accordance with the rounds indicated in the table in Appendix A, for every round until they exhaust their supply of chips. Should the participant be absent, the dealer will take blind bet amounts from the participant’s tournament chips.
20. Participants absent from the table when the last card of the initial deal is distributed will be deemed to have folded their hand.
21. Tournament chips may not be transferred and association among participants will not be tolerated.
22. During the Tournament, the Tournament Supervisor will balance off the number of participants at each table as places free up due to elimination.
23. At the request of the Tournament Supervisor, a participant will move to another table and seat indicated by that official. The participant to be moved will be the player who is next to play a big blind at the table.
24. When a table is closed to reassign participants to other tables, position reassignment will be determined by random draw.
25. When the number of non-eliminated participants approaches the number required for the final game or the number of Tournament prizes and at the Tournament Supervisor’s sole discretion, games may be played one at a time until the appropriate number of participants is reached.
26. Once the number of participants required for the final game has been reached, the position assignment of such participants at the designated table will be determined by random draw.
27. Participants exhibiting inappropriate behaviour may be penalized. Penalties include: verbal warning, time-out from playing an increasing number of rounds and disqualification. Penalties applied will be entirely at the Tournament Supervisor’s discretion.
28. When more than one participant is eliminated in the same hand of a Tournament, the participant who started the hand with the highest stake will end with the highest rank among concerned participants, provided that they played at the same table. If their stakes at the start of the game were equal, those participants will share the same rank and, if appropriate, the prize amount corresponding to that rank. It is understood that there may not be a tie for 1st place.
29. In the last stage of a Tournament, participants in the final game who have the most tournament chips will receive, as appropriate, a Tournament prize matching their rank as indicated in the Prize Distribution table matching the Tournament type and number of Tournament participants. The participant who finishes the Tournament with all the tournament chips will be declared the first (1st) place winner and will receive first (1st) prize, as indicated in the tables presented in Appendix B of the rules herein. The other participants will receive, as appropriate, the remaining prizes according to their rank at elimination, as described in the tables presented in Appendix B.
30. The SCQ will require each participant to present a valid form of government-issued photo ID before receiving a prize, if any.

31. The name, address and photograph of each Tournament participant as well as any other information voluntarily provided may be used by the SCQ for advertising, promotional or other purposes. In this regard, participants must waive all rights to broadcasting, printed material, advertising or compensation of any kind whatsoever.
32. In participating in a Tournament, participants will be deemed to have agreed to their likeness being recorded and broadcast by media present in the Casino for purposes related to the Tournament (including in social media). In this regard, participants must waive all rights to broadcasting, advertising or compensation of any kind whatsoever.
33. The SCQ reserves the right to cancel or amend a Tournament in a manner that is fair to participants. The SCQ also reserves the right to amend the rules herein, in which case revised rules will be made available to the public.
34. In the event that the SCQ cancels the Tournament, registration fees paid in accordance with Section 2 of the Rules herein will be refunded to participants.
35. Participants agree to comply with participation rules described herein, Texas Hold’em poker rules, general poker room rules as well as other rules and conditions applicable in SCQ casinos.
36. Any dispute arising during the Tournament will be submitted as appropriate to the Tournament Supervisor, whose rulings will be final and binding.
