• As part of the new health care law, limited medical plans areno longer allowable in 2014. Our current part-time Aetna/SRCplans are impacted by this beginning January 1, 2014.

—If you are currently enrolled in the Aetna/SRC medical plan, your coverage will end on December 31, 2013.

REQUIRED LEGAL NOTICEAffordable Care Act Required Government Legal Notice

Notice About New Health Insurance Marketplace Coverage Options

Why am I receiving this Notice?Key parts of the new health care law take effect in January 2014. One of these key parts is the availability of the Health Insurance Market-place (the “Marketplace”), which will provide you a new way to buy health insurance. The purpose of this notice is to provide you somebasic information regarding the Marketplace. Detailed information regarding the Marketplace is available at HealthCare.gov.

What is the Health Insurance Marketplace? The Marketplace is designed to help you find health insurance that may meet your needs. The Marketplace offers “one-stop-shopping” to find and compare private health insurance options. Open enrollment for health insurance coverage through the Marketplace begins in October 2013 for coverage starting as early as January 1, 2014.

How Can I Get More information about the Marketplace? The Marketplace can help you evaluate your coverage options, including your eligibility for coverage through the Marketplace and its cost. VisitHealthCare.gov for more information, including an online application for coverage and contact information for a Marketplace in your area. Theycan also be reached at 1-800-318-2596. TTY users should call 1-855-889-4325.

In addition to HealthCare.gov, you can get information about and assistance with the Marketplace through a service provided by The HomeDepot by visiting mymarketplacesupport.com, or calling 1-866-229-5477, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. This serv-ice also provides information about other public programs, such as Medicare, Medicaid, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)that you may find beneficial. This service is not affiliated with Healthcare.gov or any other governmental agency. It is being provided to you byThe Home Depot as an additional resource for information on The Marketplace.

Can I Save Money on my Health Insurance Premiums in the Marketplace? You may qualify to save money and lower your monthly premium, but only if The Home Depot does not offer coverage, or offers coveragethat doesn’t meet certain standards. The savings on your premium that you’re eligible for depends on your household income.

Does Employer Health Coverage Affect Eligibility for Premium Savings through the Marketplace? Yes. If you have an offer of health coverage from The Home Depot that meets certain standards, you will not be eligible for a tax creditthrough the Marketplace and may wish to enroll in coverage through The Home Depot. However, you may be eligible for a tax credit thatlowers your monthly premium, or a reduction in certain cost-sharing if The Home Depot does not offer coverage to you at all or does notoffer coverage that is either “affordable1” or meets “minimum value2”.

Information about health coverage available through The Home Depot If you decide to complete an application for coverage in the Marketplace, you will be asked to provide this information. This information is numbered to correspond to the Marketplace application. You can also access a completed Employer Coverage Tool Form atlivetheorangelife.com/ECT.
