1. CATECHETICAL FORMATION PROGRAMME
This course is intended for allthose starting out in the Ministry of Catechesis,as well as those who need to update their visionand understanding of catechesis as an initiation
into the life and mission of Christ.
It is recommended that all catechists undergothis initial course before undertaking any
further formation.
The format of the course has changed thisthis year in that it will include a practicalcomponent aimed at each of the particularfaith levels on the catechetical journey.

This course is an initial training in catechesis for allthose whose mother tongue in Xhosa. ,The course consists of eight sessions held on Saturdayafternoons (3hours) once a month.

4. LIVING THE WORD
This course is intended for catechists usingLectionary Based Catechesis in Faith Levels 5 - 8(Post Communion + Pre-Confirmation)
Its aim is to equip and empower catechists with materialsand the ability to use the materials.This year the focus will be YEAR A -The Gospel according to Matthew.

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATIONOF ADULTS - RCIA
This course aims at those Catechists who are involved, in or would liketo be involved in, the implementation of the Baptismal Catechumenatein their parish.
These 6 sessions will give the participants an understanding of the RCIAas a process, as well as cover the practical aspects of facilitation anevaluation of the Catechumenal Journey in a parish context.

6. CATECHESIS OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD
This Catechesis is a liturgy and scripture based approachTo the religious formation of children, 3 - 12 years of age.It utilizes Montesorri educational principlesAnd acknowledge the unique developmental andspiritual needs and capacities of the child.
The Level One, Part 1 Course will be offered this year.

8.BREAD FOR THE JOURNEY
This Course is the beginning of a new cycle in a 3 yearprogramme and will consist of 3 Sessions in 2011, with aspecial emphasis on the Gospel of Matthew(Year A)Participants will achieve a basic understanding of scriptureand be introduced to the teaching of the Church on the Bible.Having experienced the Word of God, participants willlearn ways of creatively sharing experience with others.For more information and to book please contact theCatholic Bible Foundation.
