The temple encourages the appreciation of freshwater, advocating its respect and the evaluation of one’s environmental conscience. The by-product of salt extraction by solar distillation is an ever growing building, as the resulting salt calcifies and so the building grows with time.

F I S H I S L A N D L I V E P R O J E C TL O N D O N , 2 0 1 4 With a brief to create a temporary kinetic installation for habitation by artists, this group project was inspired by a Jack-in-the-box. Output constituted RIBA Stages 0 - 7.

Three transportable boxes were created, concealing: the screen; a stage and reading stand; and seating. A separate control centre was also created within the space, whereby all features could open and close via a series of pulleys, adding theatrics to function.

S U M M E R T O W N R E G E N E R A T I O N P L A N O X F O R D , 2 0 1 3 As part of a Sustainable Building Practice and Design specialisation, this project explored the ways in which an urban environment could become autonomous.

The subsequent scheme evolved from retrofitting a purpose-built 1960s university building into a detailed masterplanning exercise. The final proposal incorporated features such as social housing, and commercial and recreational spaces.

P R I V A T E H O M EL O N D O N , 2 0 1 2 In-practice experience has involved projects of varying scales, sizes and sectors.

This particular project was undertaken on behalf of Architecture for London with a brief to create a bespoke extension to a building in a London conservation area and to deliver a highly designed interior concept.

U R B A NR A M S G AT E , 2 0 1 2 Creating a Museum of Architecture in the historic town of Ramsgate, Kent was the brief set for this Part I final year ‘Urban’ project.

The intention was for the museum to house much of the V&A’s plaster cast collection, thereby telling the story of Western Architecture through a series of architectural fragments. The design was informed by the way in which the town’s residents would interact with the building and its landscape.
