     The Contractor shall be solely responsible for all necessary boundary pegsurvey, setting"out, establishment of recovery pegs, additional reference pegswhere necessary and leveling on site9 and shall employ eperienced andqualied surveyors and+or planners acceptable to the :ngineer for thispurpose.

    7ny error in setting"out is to be rectied by the Contractor at his ownepenses. 4eference pegs indicating the top of earthworks cut or the toe of llshall be provided and clearly marked. 7ll structural levels shall be referred toan established bench mark not sub1ected to subsidence or interference. TheContractor shall give the :ngineer at least ' hours prior notice in writing thathe intend to set out or levels for any part of the Works, to enable the

    :ngineer to arrange for checking the name. Works shall be suspended duringthe checking and the Contractor shall carefully preserve any works made bythe :ngineer.

     The Contractor shall, as soon as practical, supply the :ngineer with records inapproved form related to all reference pegs and bench marks, and keep suchrecords updated by formal notice to the :ngineer.

    #iling is required for all structures, sub"structures and infrastructure works in%e1ingkat &)+))k3 %ubstation. The Contractor shall be responsible for the

    construction of the entire foundation system which shall ensure the properand due performance of the substation, and protect against the e8ects of anylong"term settlement and di8erential settlement between parts of a structure.

    %tatic $oad Test shall be carried out up to twice the specied working loads5A( tons for ((m ((mm and &(( tons for A(mm A(mm6. The loadingrecords shall be 1ointly taken by the :ngineer and the Contractor. TheContractor shall submit full records including graphs 5$oad"time"settlement,load"settlement curve, records etc6 in duplicate to the :ngineer within three5)6 days after completion of the test. This test pile5s6 shall not be used asactual working pile.

    -ynamic $oad Tests shall include mobili;ation, testing, preparation of test

    report by #rofessional :ngineer9 and shall be carried out under :ngineer>sinstruction.

     The Contractor also to allow for test piles at two locations instructed by the:.4. These two test piles will also be used for -ynamic $oad Test. If the testpiles failed the load test, the Contractor to amend the design of the a8ectedfoundation and to be approved by :.4.

     The maimum allowable working load for 4.C. pile si;e ((mm ((mm andA(mm A(mm shall be A tons and A( tons respectively. Cost formonitoring the capacity of working piles shall be allowed in the Tender %um.

     Test pile shall be conducted prior to start of piling activity. $ocation of test pileare sub1ected to :4>s approval.

    works shall cover the following!

    &. &)k3 switchyard 5outdoor foundations, cable trenches,etc6

    Micropiling is only allowed to be done at areas where there are height limitations for the

    machineries such as below the existing live Gantry. The maximum allowable height for the

    machineries used for micropiling works including its props and materials shall be less than 4m.

     The Contractor shall be responsible for the construction of the entirefoundation system which shall ensure the proper and due performance of thesubstation, and protect against the e8ects of any long"term settlement anddi8erential settlement between parts of a structure.

    %tatic $oad Test shall be carried out up to twice the specied working loads5K( tons6. The loading records shall be 1ointly taken by the :ngineer and theContractor. The Contractor shall submit full records including graphs 5$oad"time"settlement, load"settlement curve, records etc6 in duplicate to the:ngineer within three 5)6 days after completion of the test.      The Water %upply Betwork is as per drawing!#$%&'(()"%:"C"G"CW"#"(&.

     The Tenderer shall include in his Tender %um the cost for water supply whichinclude application, connection, testing, 1ointing and complete laying of 

    approved water pipes and appurtenances from the nearest 2uching Wateroard>s water main to proposed building. Capital contribution, collateral andmeter fees will be payable by the :mployer.

     The Contractor is required to eecute the connection works using methodswhich will not disrupt the water supply at the surrounding area. The methodstatement for connection works to be submitted at the same time of tendersubmission.

    7 wastewater system is to be constructed for the %ubstation Dutdoor%witchyard and Control uilding. The P:cosept> septic tank with connection tooutlet, 4.C. sump if required, shall be provided for Control uildings.

    4einforced Concrete sumps connected to the Dil Interceptor with &K(mm?-#: pipes to be provided for the &)k3 and ))k3 Transformer. Treatmentand discharge facilities for oily wastewater shall be provided by theContractor.

     The overall drainage system consists of 'A(mm covered drain, subsoil drain,'A(mm bo culvert, K(( mm r.c. open drain, r.c. sumps, sub"surface drainagefor Dutdoor %witchyard and &A(mm -.I. pipe for runo8 discharge of the oilinterceptor under road.  The proposed invert level and gradient of the drainageas stated in the drawings shall be strictly followed unless instructed otherwiseby the :.4.

    Covered 4.C. drains shall be provided around perimeter of Control uildingsand substation compound as indicated and other location deemed necessaryfor proper discharge of runo8. -ischarge of J#3C rain water down pipes fromControl uildings shall be channeled to perimeter 4.C. drain.

     The Contractor shall maintain, and keep all drains, streams and waterwaysfree from mud, silt and any other obstructions and make good wherenecessary. 7ll eisting streams, rivers and waterways are not to be polluted inany way during the carrying out of the works and the Contractor will be heldsolely responsible for any compliant, damage or claim 5inclusive of makinggood6 in this connection. The Contractor shall construct 5as required6 andmaintain suitable silt traps to contained mud, silt and any other debris arising

    from the construction works. %ilt trap location shall be approved by the:ngineer.

    Jnless otherwise specied, all 4.C. open drains within the fenced area of substation compound shall be provided with continuous hot"dipped galvani;edsteel grating covers 5designed to support ((kg ale load6 adequately ed tothe sides of the drain.
