PMC & PMS are joined together in design and manufacturing of chemical

injection packages and the split of work between these companies are as below:

• Basic design of the package and the required equipment (pumps, instruments and

…) is provided by PMS and also the package is fully guaranteed by them

• All the fabrication and assembling process is done in PMC’s workshop and this provides the possibility of “Easy Inspection” of the package by the client.

7.2 Electro-Chlorination Packages:

Ti Anode Fabricators Pvt. Ltd. was

incepted with well-equipped latest in- plant facilities & qualified engineers to

offer Quality, Economy & Delivery of electro chemical equipment, Engineering

equipment and Turnkey Projects under single platform to:

7.3 Upstream Solutions:

The oil and gas industry is usually divided into three major sectors: upstream (or

& Ti Anode Fabricators

Page 20: Pars Marine Industry Co

Pars Marine Industry Co.

Page 20 of 65

exploration and production- E&P), midstream and downstream. The upstream sector

includes searching for potential underground or underwater crude oil and natural gas

fields, drilling exploratory wells, and subsequently drilling and operating the wells

that recover and bring the crude oil or raw natural gas to the surface.

7.3.1 EOR Solutions:

Enhanced oil recovery (abbreviated EOR) is the implementation of various techniques for

increasing the amount of crude oil that can be extracted from an oil field. Enhanced oil

recovery is also called tertiary recovery (as opposed to primary and secondary recovery).

Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) or “Tertiary Oil Recovery”, as the name suggests, is the

third and final stage implemented in recovering all the crude oil possible from an oil

reservoir.

There are a number of techniques currently used for Enhanced Oil Recovery, each of

which has varying implications on cost, efficiency and safety. Of all the techniques,

Page 21: Pars Marine Industry Co

Pars Marine Industry Co.

Page 21 of 65

Surfactant Water Injection EOR is receiving more attention in recent years, primarily due

to its increasing cost effectiveness against the backdrop of rising oil prices.

Types of Enhanced Oil Recovery

Oil production can be broken down into three phases: Primary, Secondary and Tertiary (or

Enhanced Oil Recovery). Each phase requires an increasing amount of technology and

energy to recover the oil. This, in turn, increases the cost of well production. With

increasing global demand and oil prices the costs associated with more expensive

techniques are fast becoming less of an issue.

Primary & Secondary Recovery

Primary recovery relies on naturally occurring pressure within the oil reservoir to drive oil

to the surface. This method typically leaves around 85%-95% of the oil behind.

Secondary oil recovery introduces external energy to the oil reservoir when naturally

occurring pressure is no longer sufficient to bring oil to the surface. It does this by injecting

water (water-flooding) or by pumping compressed gasses into the reservoir. The success

of secondary oil recovery is limited by the characteristics of the oil reservoir itself and can

become ineffective early on. Secondary oil recovery leaves anywhere between 50% - 80%

of the oil unrecovered.

PMC with its partner Sonnek Engineering is active in WATER INJECTION – EOR with

the best technology for IRAN oil fields, Not Only WATER INJECTION-EOR

SOLUTIONS for increasing oil production is our goal; But Also, WATER DISPOSAL

SOLUTIONS is one of our main targets in IRAN Market.

Having a strong/Flexible/Modular water injection packages besides the comprehensive

water treatment technology and reputable Austrian reservoir engineering company besides

a well-known consultancy company, make us a trustable partner for our clients as EOR

SOLUTION Provider in a firm chain from A to Z, CASE STUDY SCHEMATIC.

Looking to our international track in both EOR and Water Disposal ensure clients that an

experienced partner with global high technology with local manufacturing makes a perfect

selection to cooperate in projects.

PMC is the exclusive partner of SONNEK Company in Iran

7.3.2 MOS & MOT Solutions:

7.3.2.1 Mobile Oil Separator (MOS) and Mobile Oil Treater (MOT):

In order to avoid burning oil in drilling and work over wells, acidizing and test wells,

MOS and MOT are utilized.

→ MOS is used to separate oil and gas in order to be pumped towards cluster and

consists of the following equipment: 2-Phase Separator (can be modified to 3-Phase

Separator), Demulsifier Package, Gas Oil Storage Tank, Nitrogen Package, Diesel

Generator, Instrument Air System Package and Porta Cabin.

→ In MOT, first oil is treated then sand and water are separated and after adding

specific chemicals, oil is transported to the production plant. MOT Unit has to consist

of the following equipment:

7.3.2.6 For Treating The Oily Water For Re-injection:

The CPF system separate the oil and waste water, this waste water is high salt

pollution for environment, but this kind water is useful for secondary oil

recovery, because the compatibility is suitable for the stratum than the clear

surface water. We can provide the owner all the equipment or construct this

system (EPC).

7.4 Pumping Solutions:

BUNGARTZ CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS – from the submerged pump and magnet-

coupled chemical pumps to horizontal slurry pumps – master difficult and complex

pumping tasks around the world, and are virtually cavitation-free and self-ventilating.

Amongst other things, they are resistant to solids, dry-running, self-regulating, wear-

resistant, low-maintenance, and have a high level of intrinsic safety. Designed for the

application, they are suitable for boiling, polymerising, crystallising and toxic media

in all Atex zones.

CHALLENGE:

Bungartz considers itself a supplier of pumping systems and solutions. Nowadays,

difficult and complex feed tasks appear in nearly all branches of the chemical and

petrochemical industry, in power plant technology and in environmental protection.

Here innovative, tailor-made and robust solutions are in demand. The Bungartz special

centrifugal pumps for extreme operations undertake those jobs, which are too

demanding for others. They are applied to problems which defeat standard pumps.

Bungartz pumps solve problems when dealing with:

shaft seals

poor feed conditions

challenging pumping media

gas containing liquids

liquids close to boiling point

corrosive and / or abrasive pumping media

sophisticated plant technology

In this field of activity QC department designs and issues all the welding procedures (WPS) by considering the specification and standards requirements, then destructive and non-destructive tests will be done to support the prepared WPS’s. After this Engineering department will find the best way of spool generation by using the PDMS software, at this time the execution department will play its role by beginning the fabrication and installation of spools. After solving some unavoidable problems and closing the loops they will be ready for hydro_ testing. This activity is one of the time-consuming and important parts of the project performance. Hydrostatic

and pneumatic testing is the way to ensure that the qualification of the execution is satisfactory.

By using the appropriate gages, the restricted tolerances are maintained in range. Engineering department is then responsible for issuing the best way to dividing the shop and field part to achieve maximum speed and reliable way to doing the Fabrication activity by using the PDMS software. Quality Control (QC) department will play a very important role to lead the whole team towards doing the best by checking the documents, issuing the NDT requisition for performance check, inspection of any activity before, after and during execution; besides is responsible to be sure of quality Satisfaction of Third Party and Client.

Execution department is the main Department in this project and is responsible to move the project align. The QC and the Engineering advises to be completed in time, after taking some progress in the fabrication step the erection of the fabricated spools and valves is started and more personnel will face in the new line of action. After solving some unavoidable problems and closing the loops they will be ready for hydro_ testing. This activity is one of the time-consuming and important parts of the project performance.
