HEALTH TRACK

Led by Jaye Kendrick, Certified Personal Trainer and an exercise specialist with a University degree in Kinesiology. Cardiac and stroke patients will find this structured class both supportive and beneficial. Paricipants will work towards reducing their weight, increasing muscle mass and strength, improving flexibility, improving blood sugar levels, cholesterol levels and general well-being.

FloorballFloorball is an exciting, fast-paced style of floor hockey. Floorball focuses on skilled play. The LKRC Floorball program is designed to help develop stickhandling, ball control and shooting skills with a combination of drills and game play. Equipment is available to use but participants are welcome to use their own. No specialized equipment is required. The rules of the game are designed to limit injury and promote a high scoring, entertaining style of game.

Stay Safe! (Ages 9 - 13 Years)The Stay Safe! Course offers basic first aid and safety skills for youth 9 – 13 years of age. Participants learn about being safe when they are without the direct supervision of a parent, guardian or trusted adult, both at home and in their communities.

Course Content Includes: The importance of setting and following safety rules when on your own; How to stay safe at home and with the community; How to prepare for, recognize and respond to unexpected situations; and Basic First Aid skills. Participants will be provided a Workbook and Completion Certificate.

Red Cross Baby Sitting (Ages 11 - 15 Years)The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting Course is revised and now has a greater emphasis on First Aid Skills. The babysitting course covers everything from managing difficult behaviours to essential content on leadership and professional conduct as a babysitter. The course promises to deepen and enhance responsibility that older youth feel when caring for younger children.

Course Content Includes: How to feed, diaper, dress and play with the children and babies; How to recognize and prevent unsafe situations; First Aid Skills; information of children’s developmental stages and specific strategies for each stage; The Business of Babysitting. Participants will be provided a Babysitting Manual and Certificate.Please bring a doll or teddy bear to the course to practice skills.

Body Rock Bootcamp Get ready to rock your body in this boot camp that focuses on using your body weight as resistance.

Breathe & Flow A Yoga flow class in which the breath guides the movement of the body. Get moving with a blend of Yoga Asana providing strength, flexibility and peace of mind.

Circuit Challenging circuit stations using short bursts of exercise and various equipment. More advanced exercises with minimal rest time.

Full Body Fit * Every class is something different. Using different equipment every week, you get a full body cardio & strength workout.

Public Skating Schedule

Description

Note: As these Public Skating sessions are for all levels of skaters, for your safety and the safety of all others. No hockey sticks or pucks are allowed (except for Stick Time). No shoes or chairs are allowed on the ice at any time. It is strongly recommended that children

under the age of 16 wear a helmet on the ice. All Prices include HST.
