Street View Progress To Date
• 75% of Parks Canada places have been visited for collects.
• Published 159 sites (39 NP, 115 NHS, 4 NMCA and 1 Canadian Landmark)
• Collect is ongoing; will soon have 44 NP and 116 NHS for a total of 165 published sites.
• Uses Google Street View imagery to create VR experiences.
• Allows explorers to participate in a guided and narrated virtual field trip experience..
• Will be piloted and evaluated at outreach events and at partner venues (aquariums, museums etc.) and festivals this summer.
Google Expeditions
• Multi-Partner; Multi-Platform.
• Unique outdoor concerts heard live via wireless headphones & broadcast on multiple platforms.
• Audience: young adults aged 18-24
• Locations: Banff National Park; Fundy National Park.
• Partners: CBC Music, Talent Management, Record Labels, Sennheiser, Provincial Government Tourism Industry.
• Reach & Visibility: National TV and Radio broadcast; collaborative social media coverage; contests.
