4 SafetyParking Lot Safety Tips – 1 of 2

• Plan Ahead• Keep the doors locked and windows closed as you enter a

parking garage.• Minimize valuables, backpacks, etc. left in vehicle. Put items in

the trunk or out of sight• Keep wallet or purse out of view when entering/leaving lot• Park where the lighting is best• Park as close to lot attendant kiosks as possible

• Exiting your Vehicle • Be aware of your surroundings• Walk away from vehicle with confident stride• Note parking space identifier for your return

NOTE: If you use the lot routinely, determine IF / WHERE your cell phone works. Keep it handy when entering and exiting.
