September 2016 Expression of Interest Relieving Principal at Parkes East Public School Expressions of interest are invited from teachers interested in a career opportunity relieving in the position of Principal from Week 6 Term 2 to until the end of 2018 (with the possibility of an extension). The position will be located at: Parkes East Public School 1-3 Thornbury Street Parkes NSW 2870 Parkes East Public School has a population of 306 pupils. The community is very supportive of the school, with many parents involved in classroom teaching programs. Special school features include high level computer networking, strong student welfare, academic and sporting programs. To cater for individual pupil needs and outcomes our school community has embraced many of the beliefs of Outcome Based Education. Staff and parents plan actions to address the beliefs that all children can learn and succeed, that success breeds success, and that schools control the conditions for success. Staff, families and community work together to provide students with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, values and experience needed to participate in our society. Staff endeavour to provide education that is relevant to needs and aspirations of pupils, responsive to community expectations, effective in achievement of high quality educational programs and efficient in the use of resources. An expression of interest addressing the criteria, of no more than 2 pages in length should be submitted to Charles Dwyer, Director, Educational School Leadership, Mitchell Principal Network at [email protected] by 5pm on 4 June 2018. Selection criteria Demonstrated exemplary interpersonal and communication skills; visible, enthusiastic and collaborative leadership and the ability to promote community confidence, school image and school/community partnerships. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs. Collaborative Leadership of the school's strategic directions. Applicants must include contact details for two referees, one being the applicant's current supervisor. Expressions of interest must not exceed 2 A4 pages and require the signature of the applicant’s current principal or supervisor.
