OVERVIEW

The Parity Report Server was designed to be a single access point for all information in an organisation. PRS

manages multiple connections and delivers both Crystal and SSRS Reports through a web browser. It integrates

with the standard report functions of Sage ERP X3.

Portal Server

URL links can be managed in PRS the same way as with any other object. This means

that PRS can be utilised as a web portal that serves as a starting point for users to

access other web applications or information on their network.

Windows look and feel

PRS is like a windows application running inside a web browser. It is built on HTML5

technology which is an open application framework for running rich Internet applications,

with features and purposes similar to those of Adobe Flash.

Crystal Reports and SQL Reports in one Application

PRS is unique in that it can run and display both Crystal Reports and SQL Server

Reporting Services (SSRS) seamlessly from one user interface.

Dynamic form creation

PRS will generate forms for reports based on the parameters of the report. Parameters can be pre-defined to

populate combo boxes.

Server side processing

The data processing and the generation of the report all happens on the server side. The finished report is only

delivered through the web browser to the user. This means that there is no client installation and that minimal

resources are utilised from the user’s machine.

All objects are stored in a database

PRS manages all its objects in a database. No objects are stored in a folder. This means that everything can

easily be backed up (or restored in case of a disaster recovery) with a simple database backup.
