Sept. 30-Oct. 126th Sunday in Ordinary TimeIn the Gospels Jesus is always challenging the boxes we like to create: like the boxes for “good” and “bad”. It is human to create such boxes, but Jesus wants us to realize that we are always called to see as God sees and not as human beings see. That is not easy and it takes great humility and constant conversion to see every person, even those whose lives are a contradiction to our values as loved by God, and even as potential saints. Jesus was able to do this, and calls us to do the same.

ADULT rE & fAITh ENrIChMENTAre you wanting to learn more about our faith? Are you just sitting in your car waiting for your kids to get out of religious education classes? Take that leap of faith because we have some-thing for you. We are excited to announce this years’ theme for the Adult Faith Formation classes. We will be studying Jeff Cavins’, Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom. Acts: The Spread of the King-dom, builds on The Bible Timeline and Matthew by showing how Christ›s Kingdom on earth is empowered to carry out His work in the world. The book of Acts shows the Church, enlivened by the Holy Spirit, teaching, preaching, healing, and restoring outcasts in the same way that Jesus did on earth. The Acts of the Apostles provides a historic framework for understanding the rest of the New Testament. Paul’s letters in particular come alive in a new way when they are read within the context of the Acts narrative. This will be offered on Wednesday evening at 6:45 p.m. in English with Anna Lara in the Knights of Columbus room (PAC301) and in Spanish with Art Lara.
On Sundays, we will have a Spanish session at 9:45 a.m. in room 208 of the Education Building, on Dios Te Salve, Reina Y Madre: La Biblia y La Virgen Maria presented by Martha Calderon. Cur-rently, we are seeking a Catechist to present Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom program in English.
This is open to everyone come join us for this year’s Adult Faith Formation Program. Classes will begin the week of September 24th and follow the RE calendar for the year. For more information please contact the RE Office.
Are you looking for an opportunity to serve the church? and share your gifts with our parish community? The Religious Education Office is looking for individuals to assist with our Youth Ministry and Adult Faith Formation Programs. We are looking for individuals to lead and participate in overall youth ministry and adult faith formation at the parish. For Youth Ministry, this includes High School Sunday evening Liturgy, Middle School Youth Ministry, retreats, local service projects in the parish and all other Youth Ministry activities. For Adult Faith Formation, this includes planning weekly sessions for adult classes (including sacramental preparation), recruiting volunteers to assist with program. Candidates for both positions must be bilingual, actively participating in the Catholic Church and EIM compliant.
Sept. 30 & Oct. 1, 2017 / 30 de septiembre y 1ro de octubre, 2017Twenty-sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Public Square Rosary RallyDowntown Buda
At the GazeboNoon-2:00 pm
This peaceful and prayerful rally will unite with over 20,000 other public square rosary rallies throughout the USA in an effort to reverse the moral crisis in our society.
Pray with us for America and conversion!
In 1917, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared at Fatima, Portugal to three small shepherd children with a message for the world: “Do penance, amend your life, pray - especially the Rosary, and offend God no more”. She’s asking the same thing of us today.
The Public Square Rosary is a new call to live Our Lady’s Fatima message and spread it across America.
Bring your Rosary, water & a chair or blanket for sitting.
