Greetings from the GIFT Campaign Team. During the Feast of Holy Cross, we fully existed

the silent personal engagement phase and entered the general inspiration phase of our

GIFT Campaign. The Key elements of the kick off included the information booth with T-

shirts, raffles, banner, and brochures; Tom's and Francisco's informational and motivational

updates at the masses; the posting of our progress to date in the back of the church along

with the visionary depictions of our goal and the placement of the pledge box; and most

importantly, Father Joseph's supportive and encouraging message from the altar as well as

the engagement of the Bishop. During that time, it was announced that we had pledges and

cash totaling $1,638,408.08 or 66% of the amount needed to start the construction process

with 115 families participating. Since then, we have made even more progress. Check the

website for more up to date information. We will continue the GIFT message with testimonials during mass every 4-6 weeks. The goal is to have speakers representing the diverse make up of our parish tell their story about what is universally special about their faith journey at Holy Cross. As you listen, we hope you will be touched and reflect on that special reason you choose to be here and prayerfully consider how you can generously and graciously participate in the GIFT cam-paign.

Dear Members of Holy Cross Parish, I can’t believe how quickly time goes by! On the 1st of October, our Gift Campaign will complete its first four fruitful months. I remember well

the evening of June 3rd when many of us gathered at Holy Cross on the Feast of the Most Sacred

Heart of Jesus, to place our project under the care of our Blessed Mother. It was most encouraging to

see so many of you in attendance. I know that you are aware of how we have been blessed from day one of our campaign, of how we

have experienced God’s grace in manifold ways. Bishop Olson’s fraternal visit gave voice to his in-

terest and the encouragement of the Diocese. Tom McCall and Francisco Astorga’s presentation gave

voice to our own commitment and generosity as a parish and helped create our own memory of hope. We are scheduling a time of gratitude and adoration at 7:30 pm on Friday October 7th to thank God

for all the blessings we received during the past four months and invoke his constant help for the

months ahead. Let us do so as a community. Please make every effort to participate in this event and be blessed by

the grace and love of God. We will have the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 7:30 pm followed by a 30 min-

utes reflection on our call to Holiness. I Hope to see you all there! Queridos Miembros de la Parroquia de Holy Cross, ¡�o puedo creer que pronto pasa el tiempo! El 1ro de octubre, nuestra Campaña GIFT cumplirá sus primeros fructíferos cuatro meses. Recuerdo

muy bien la tarde del 3 de junio cuando muchos de nosotros estábamos reunidos en Holy Cross en la

Fiesta del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, para poner el proyecto bajo el cuidado de nuestra Bendita Ma-

dre. Fue muy alentador ver la asistencia de muchos de ustedes.

Yo se que están al tanto de como hemos sido bendecidos desde el primer día de la campaña, de como

hemos experimentado la gracias de Dios en múltiples formas. La fraternal visita del Obispo Olson

dio voz a su interés por nosotros y al apoyo de la Diócesis. La presentación de Tom McCall y Fran-

cisco Astorga que dieron voz a nuestro propio compromiso y generosidad como parroquia y ayuda-

ron a crear nuestras propias memorias de esperanza.

�osotros estamos programando un tiempo de agradecimiento y adoración a las 7:30 pm el viernes, 7

de octubre para dar gracias a Dios por todas las bendiciones que hemos recibido durante los cuatro

meses pasados e invocar por su constante ayuda en los meses venideros.

Hagamos esto pues, como comunidad. Por favor esfuércese en participar en este evento y ser bende-

cido por la gracia de Dios. Tendremos la Coronilla a la Divina Misericordia a las 7:30 pm seguida

Ministries and families are in-vited to decorate a trunk and hand out candy to all the children who come to our trunk and treat. Prizes are given out for the most crea-tive trunk decoration.
