OUR MISSION We, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish,
in line with the mission of the
universal Catholic Church, are
all about forming intentional
disciples. We strive to build a
community of disciples,
strengthened
by Word and Sacrament,
to celebrate, live and share the
Good News of Jesus Christ.

A MESSAGE
FROM
Michael Havercamp,
Director of Evangelization
“When the cat’s away, the
mice play,” the old saying
goes. When Fr. Tony is away, I
always think about that for
some reason. But there is a re-
al parallel for all of us as fol-
lowers of Jesus. For Christians,
happiness is holiness and we
all were created for it – priests,
religious and the laity. The Vat-
ican II fathers called it the
“universal call to holiness” and
you don’t have to be a priest
or a bishop to grin like a
Cheshire cat. Pope Francis re-
minds us, “We are all called to
be holy, by living our lives with
love and by bearing witness in
everything we do.” Jesus
came to set the world on fire
and oh, how he wishes it were
already blazing! It’s time to let
the cat out of the bag and let
everyone in on the fun. Look-
ing for happiness? Give holi-
ness a try.

Perpetual Prayer Effort
Join us in our perpetual prayer as
a foundation for St. Paul the Apos-
tle Parish. As we move forward in
fostering a culture of renewal and
evangelization, we recognize that
we cannot do anything without
putting Christ at the center and
seeking his grace through prayer.
We invite parishioners to commit
to a weekly hour of prayer.
Sign up by calling the office or by
going to the parish website
homepage.

Wyldlife Camp 2019
St Paul’s Youth “Take Over Clearwater Cove”
There is something special about Wyldlife camp. Spending a full week with
35 of my friends who just finished 6th-8th grade and doing some amazing
things together, just gives me so much life! We went tubing on a beautiful
lake at 7:30am. We conquered fears by going on a high ropes course (I
have the wounds to prove it). We jumped into the pool fully clothed with
300 other people and watched fireworks. But this isn’t what truly makes
camp special. This comment by one of our friends while we were there
sums it up:
“Jesus is more real to me now than He ever has been.
I’ve never heard people talk about Him quite like this before.”
Camp offers kids a chance to not only have an absolute blast, but most
importantly to hear about the Good News of Jesus in a way that is personal
and presented just for them. It’s the ‘why’ behind everything that is done
there. It’s such a blessing to be a part of it and continue to journey with our
friends after camp too. Thanks to all for helping make it possible.

Pray the Rosary for Stronger Marriages & Families
The joyful, sorrowful, luminous and glorious mysteries of the rosary invite us into
the family life of Jesus and Mary. The joys and sorrows of our own family life
can find a home in these mysteries. Meditating on the Annunciation and the
birth of Jesus, we recall our joy at the news a new child would bless our own
family. The joy of family get-togethers resounds in the Visitation. Communica-
tion problems and challenging expectations show up in finding of the Child
Jesus in the Temple. The pain of loss which families experience accompanies
the sorrowful mysteries, and the hope of reunion with our departed loved ones
finds a place in the glorious mysteries. The wedding at Cana highlights the gift
of marriage, and the proclamation of the kingdom of God reminds us that the
beatitudes should be at the heart of Christian family life.
Come join your church family for the Rosary: Monday-Friday at 6 AM,
Wednesdays & Fridays at 8 AM
