Thank You for the Angel Tree Gifts! We just wrapped up our annual Angel Tree program.
Thank you so much for all of the generous gifts we received for our Angel Tree children.
Year after year, we are overwhelmed with the response from you, our faithful donors!
We know it takes time to coordinate, shop and get your Angel Tree gifts ready for delivery,
and then several of you have to travel to drop off your gifts. Your hard work and effort in
finding those gifts are very much appreciated because you help make Christmas special for
our kids!
As we get ready to celebrate the Christmas season we hope you too will enjoy time with
your families as we all celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. Thank you and Merry Christmas from the office staff

Mass Obligations for 4th Sunday of Advent and the Feasts the Following Week
Some clarification in case you have or get questions about Mass attendance with the fourth Sunday of Advent and Christmas Eve being on the same day. Also, I have included info on the Feast of the Holy Family (Sunday, December 31, 2017) and the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God (Monday, January 1, 2018): “As the General Norms for the Liturgical Year and the Calendar (#5) states: “Because of its special importance, the Sunday celebration gives way only to solemnities or feasts of the Lord. The Sundays of the seasons of Advent, Lent, and Easter, however, take precedence over all solemnities and feasts of the Lord.” Please note that the integrity of the Fourth Sunday of Advent is to be respected and celebrated in its fullness. Every attempt should be made to catechize the faithful about the importance of observing both the Fourth Sunday of Advent and Christmas celebrations: they are two distinct and separate celebrations in the church calendar. Therefore, the faithful are to be reminded that they are to participate at both. On the following Sunday and Monday, the Church celebrates the Feast of the Holy Family (Sunday, December 31, 2017) and the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God (Monday, January 1, 2018). With the Solemnity of Mary falling on a Monday, the obligation to attend Mass is lifted. It is not a holy day of obligation. “-from dosp.org 4th Sunday of Advent/Christmas Mass options at St. Anthony are: Option 1: Saturday Evening (Sunday Mass) and Sunday Afternoon/Evening (Christmas Mass) Option 2: Saturday Evening (Sunday Mass) and Monday Morning (Christmas Mass) Option 3: Sunday Morning (Sunday Mass) and Sunday Afternoon/Evening (Christmas Mass) Option 4: Sunday Morning (Sunday Mass) and
