PARISH BULLETIN INSERTSPLANNED AND PERSONAL GIVING
The goal of this bulletin insert package is to provide a resource for parishes that wish to communicate to parishioners about financial support for their parish and their Archdiocese. The intention is to allow parishes to choose to include bulletin inserts on these topics occasionally or on a weekly basis depending on their own needs.
Should your parish wish to include a bulletin spot for planned/personal giving, you may choose to use the general inserts by topic at any time through the year or you may wish to reproduce the inserts organized by month to fit with a seasonal theme.
There will be supplemental inserts in October/November for the Archdiocesan Annual Appeal which will be distributed closer to the time of that campaign.
Please feel free to contact the Development Office of the Archdiocese of Regina if you would like to request specific wording for any parish fundraising activities.
Canon law regulates fundraising in parishes conducted by charities or individuals for causes that are not associated with our parishes or Archdiocese or pre-approved third-party Catholic charities. If your parish is approached by an individual or charitable group requesting permission to solicit your parishioners in your bulletin, you may wish to consult with your pastor and/or the Archdiocese for guidance. The bulletin inserts listed below are available online to be read or downloaded at http://archregina.sk.ca/giving

MARCHMarch 1 – Archdiocesan Annual Appeal – Monthly giving reminder
Lent is a special time to practise the virtue of charity! The Archdiocesan Annual Appeal invites parishioners to support the outreach of the Catholic Church through the work of over 25 pastoral ministry programs and Catholic service agencies. Consider making a sacrificial gift on a monthly basis to the 2015 Appeal now, increasing the impact while lessening the financial burden of a one-time gift later in the fall. Please contact the parish office or the Annual Appeal Office at 306-352-1651 x210 for information about convenient giving options.
March 2 – Stewarding our Talents
Are you a Catholic advisor in the field of law, financial planning, accounting or insurance? While the Archdiocese is unable to make direct referrals, our hope is to offer access to a broad list of those professional advisors who serve our Catholic community. Please call the Development Office of the Archdiocese to add your name to the Archdiocesan Advisor List at 306-352-1651 x220 or visit www.archregina.sk.ca/giving
March 3 – Planning for monthly giving
It is faith that enables us to recognize Christ and it is his love that impels us to assist him whenever he becomes our neighbour along the journey of life. Pope Benedict XVI, Porta Fidei
Lent is a special time to deepen our faith and practise the virtue of charity by sharing our gifts with others. Consider making a sacrificial gift on a monthly basis to our parish and/or to our Archdiocesan Appeal, increasing the impact while lessening the financial burden of a one-time donation. Please contact the parish office or the Annual Appeal Office at 306-352-1651 x210 for information about convenient automated monthly giving options.
March 4 – Lent is a time for Good Works
Pope Francis calls us “Go, Do not be afraid, and serve!” Lent is a time when we are called to grow together as the Body of Christ by showing our concern for our neighbor’s spiritual and material needs through prayer and almsgiving. Please remember your priest and fellow parishioners in prayer this Lent and consider whether you might be able to make a sacrificial gift to express your support for the needs of our Church in its ministry to our local community.
March 5 – Answering the call to Discipleship
“He went about doing good and healing all those oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.” (Acts 10:38)
As we celebrate the Resurrection of Our Lord, we must realize that in rising from the dead, Jesus declares to us that He is truly God and His way is the real way. We must throw off our

chains of greed, materialism and selfishness and rise to a new level of giving and doing good, just as Jesus called us to do. Please consider renewing your commitment to give of your time, talent and treasure to our family of faith during this Easter season. Your personal and financial sacrifices to our parish and our Archdiocese help make it possible for all of us to be a beacon of God’s love for the world.
