* * * * * * * * Silent, Priestly, Mass Prayers

What the Assembly Never Hears You may find these silent, gentle and personal Mass prayers, whispered by the celebrant: Before the Gospel: Cleanse my heart and my lips, almighty God, that I may worthily proclaim your holy Gospel. After the Gospel: Through the words of the Gospel may our sins be wiped way. Before Communion: Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, by the will of the Father and the work of the Holy Spirit, your death brought life to the worlds. By your holy Body and Blood free me from all my sins and from every evil. Keep me faithful to your teaching, and never let me be parted from you.

This Thursday

Pope Francis will “create” fourteen new cardinals from all over the world, including Iraq, Pakistan, Italy, Poland Peru, Japan Madagascar, and several Vatican officials at a Consistory on June 29th, the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul. Eleven of them are under 80, and therefore eligible to participate in the next conclave to choose Pope Francis’ successor. God bless our new cardinals!

You May Have Never Heard This Spoken by a Priest for One about to Die

One Christian Encouraging Another

Go forth, Christian soul, from this world, in the name of God, the Almighty Father, who created you. in the name of Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, who suffered for you, in the name of the Holy Spirit, who was poured out for you! Go forth, faithful Christian! May you live in peace this very day! May your home be with God in Zion, with Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, with Joseph, her husband, and with all the saints and angels! Go forth faithful Christian!

What’s Happening with Our Capital Campaign Project?

To repeat what we announced in this Bulletin weeks ago, we have some good news regarding our Temperature Stabilization Project. We are pleased to announce that, after careful review: (1) the Archdiocese has granted approval for our project. (2) our Project Manager, Dave Minervini, and our team of engineers (C&F Consulting Engineering, PC) have submitted the plans to New York City for approval and permitting.(3) once we receive the approval and permits, we will be able to announce a start date. We thank you once again for your tremendous generosity during the Renew + Rebuild Campaign and especial-lly for your continued stewardship in honoring your pledges. Your faithfulness allows us to move forward, boldly, and begin this exciting project. Thank you!

+ Holy Trinity – 10 Years Ago +

“from the archives!” Tickets for Papal Mass – Yankee Stadium On Sunday, April 20th at 2:30 PM, Pope Benedict XVI will offer Mass at Yankee Stadium as part of his visit to the United Nations and the United States. There is a great interest and demand for tickets to attend. The following is the procedure for applying for a ticket: Each Parish in the Archdiocese will be granted tickets by taking a percentage of those who attended Mass as testified to by our annual Spiritual Report (The year used is 2006.) We should receive about 35 tickets. If you would like to be included in our raffle for tickets put your [information] on a card and return it to Holy Trinity by next Sunday, February 17th. (2/10/08) And from 20 Years Ago … NOTE: 1998 was the year of Holy Trinity’s Centennial “1998 will be dedicated in a particular way to the Holy Spirit and to His sanctifying presence within the community of Christ’s disciples … The Spirit is the principal agent of the new evangelization … He is the One who builds the Kingdom of God within the course of history and prepares its full manifestation in Jesus Christ, stirring people’s hearts and quickening in our world the seeds of full salvation which will come at the end of time … Christians are called to prepare for the Great Jubilee of the beginning of the Third Millennium for renewing their hope in the definitive coming of the Kingdom of God, preparing for it daily in their hearts, in the Christian community to which they belong, in their particular social context, and in world history itself … – John Paul II Tertia Milennio Adviente (1/11/98)

Cuerpo de duro roble, alma azul de silencio;

Sacudiste el azote ante el poder soberbio;
