We will meet on the northeast side of Platt Park at Iowa and Logan by the playground. Families are invited to bike ride/scooter with their child/children. We will bike ride/scooter around Platt Park and then have refreshments at the starting point by the playground. The students may play after we have made it around Platt Park. The students may bring their water bottles, bikes, rollerblades, scooters, skateboards, etc. Bring all of your family members for some fun physical activity! Mr. Joutras 720-424-5618

September 29, 2017 McKinley-Thatcher families – All signs point to another incredible and productive school year! Almost all of our classes have already participated in an off-site learning experiences or have a field trip scheduled in the next few weeks. We love developing learning experiences that are authentic and experiential in nature, and we thank our PTA for their generous support to make these adventures possible! In October, we will be continuing our Roadmap to the Future Project with a Community Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, October 24. Please join us for free dinner and conversation about what our community most needs from and values about our school. We would love to hear your perspective on this important issue. Thank you for sending your children to school ready to learn, every day. We are aiming for 95% attendance (less than seven absences per year), and we thank you for scheduling your appointments and vacations outside of school hours. Our current attendance rate for August and September is 93.6%, so we are not yet quite on target to meet our goal. Please send your child to school every day that they are not ill. We still have backpacks and lunch boxes available for students who need them! If you are in need of assistance, please let Ms. Theresa in the office know. It's been a fantastic start to the 2017-18 school year, and we are so delighted that you are part of our amazing learning community. Sincerely, Principal Geerdes

Sinceramente, Directora Geerdes
