Introductions to Staff
Went from being outscored by 10 or more runs 16 times in 2013 to only 6 times in 2014 (Varsity).
Had only 10 returners to our program (Both JV and Varsity) so a lot of Softball IQ building last year
Tons of Improvement in positive attitudes and skills Off Season Work was Field Maintenance improved for both fields during
both the season and off season. Fundraised a great amount of money towards the
fields improvements and new uniforms.
2014 Season Re-Cap
Selfless service. No Academic issues during the season. Now that we have a basic softball IQ, we need to
improve on eliminating errors both mentally and physically.
Building individual skills (hitting corrections and fielding corrections).
Continue to be coachable. Girls continue to take ownership and hold each other
accountable throughout the year to improve the team. Softball Meetings will include
Speed/Agility/Conditoning/Weightlifting
2015 Coaches Goals/Improvements need to be made
Safety Accountability Follow Doctors orders (Need to be cleared even with dentist, first with school
then turned into us). Build lifelong lessons
◦ Playing a sport is like a part-time job. We will prepare girls for life outside of school and sports.
Be positive. Respect, we will give it to the girls as much as they give us. Practice time is OUR time/Games are PLAYERS. Treat everyone fairly, but not equally. This is a process, we made steps last year in this rebuilding process, we WILL
make MORE STEPS this year. We have been accumulating a better softball IQ, working on what we can control
and that is our knowledge and how we teach skills. We will give everyone our 100%, we expect the same. This is our passion, we are not doing it for the fame, glory and certainly not the
money. Will be teaching Heads-Up Softball
Expectations of Coaching Staff
Heads-Up Softball We will be having Mental Game Workshops
the throughout the season. These afternoon Mental Game Workshops
will be to prepare for the season mentally, afternoon practices will be a place to practice those mental lessons.
Time to get tough on the mental side of things, learn how to control ourselves.
THESE ARE MANDATORY.
Personality Workshop All Players will go through.
Working on the Mind and Heart just as much at the Physical aspects to this game.
True-Colors
The Girls will create this Thursday after teams have been chosen:◦ How do you want to be treated by your peers?◦ How should Leaders treat everyone?◦ How do you think Leaders want to be treated?◦ How do you treat others in times of conflict?

Expectations of Players
Practice is one of the many places where we compete to be the best.
Practice makes just as important a statement about who we are as how we play the games.
How we practice defines who we are. Always hustle, station to station, drill to drill
◦ Should be no walking Always move your feet to the ball; do not get lazy. Keep your eyes active for complete concentration. Chest in front of the ball, whether it is a grounder or a thrown
ball. Use two hands for quick efficient execution. Always move to the ball, preparing to throw ahead of receiving
the ball. Work with the player you will be working with in a game. The way you practice equals the way you play. No one leaves until all the equipment is all put away.
