Dual Enrollment
▶ Provides opportunities to earn credit at BOTH the high school and at the postsecondary institution
▶ Attend class on college campus▶ Shorten the amount of time to earn a degree▶ Paid for by funds that do not count toward HOPE hours▶ 1 Extra Quality point added to Cumulative GPA, .5 for HOPE▶ Must apply to the college and meet admission requirements▶ Must abide by both the FCS and college calendar (do not align)▶ No communication between parents and professors due to FERPA▶ Dual Enrollment Night: November 12th at 6 PM at NFHS

Financial Aid - HOPE Scholarship
● Access your HOPE GPA at any time on the GaFutures website. Must have SSN on file with the school to access and qualify.
● HOPE Scholarship: Minimum 3.0 HOPE GPA & 4 rigor requirements○ Typically covers 75-85% of tuition costs (based on lottery funding)
● Zell Miller Scholarship: Minimum 3.7 Zell Miller GPA; Minimum combined score of 1200 on the math and reading portions of the SAT or a minimum composite score of 26 on the ACT (single national administration of either test) and meet 4 rigor requirements
○ Covers 100% of tuition at public institutions in GA○ Lowers to 3.3 GPA requirement in college
● How is it computed? Core classes only including world language, .5 quality point for AP/DE courses, never goes above a 4.0 Your HOPE GPA is not the same as your NFHS GPA

▶ Sophomore Conferences are optional▶ Parents are welcome to attend these meetings▶ Meetings can be scheduled between November 11 - December 13▶ Students can sign-up for these meetings on the NFHS Counseling Website,
under the Class of 2022 tab ▶ Appointments can be made starting November 1st
Junior Conferences
▶ Counselors will be meeting with every junior student▶ Parents are encouraged to attend these meetings as well▶ Meeting appointment times will be available between November 11 -
