FALL 2013 Ascensio n Bulld ogs Youth Sports is an organization dedicated to young athletes in the Ascensio n Parish area. The Bulldogs have three Football teams, cheerleading squads, and a baseball team. The ages of our athletes range from 6 years old to 12 years old. Our motto, “Where Every Player Counts”, means every child plays. We are all looking forward to working with you and your children over the coming months to make your child’s par- ticipation in this team a positive and successful experience. Our program will emphasize f un & enjoyment, skill development, and develop players ability to work cooperatively. Our coaches want the children to learn all the basics of football and become as skillful as they can. We also believe that forming friend- ships, developing a sense of belonging and learning to share experi- ences with others is important. Our motto, “Where Every Player Counts” , gives all team members equal opportunity to play during the season. Your child will experience playing in a range of positions as we rotate players and positions as much as possible. Mike Bailey President, Ascension Bulldogs Youth Sports Organiz ation 1 st week: Monday, July 29 Tuesday, July 30 Wednesday, July 31 Thursday, August 1 TIME: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM WHERE: Manchac Park Players wear shirts, shorts and football cleats 2 nd week -- conditioning Monday, August 5 Tuesday, August 6 Wednesday, August 7 - NO PRACTICE Thursday, August 8 TIME: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM WHERE: Manchac Park Players wear shirts, shorts, football cleats and helmets 3 rd week – 3 day practice schedule begins : Monday, August 12 – first day of practice with pads Tuesday, August 13 NO PRACTICE ON WEDNESDAYS Thursday, August 15 Coaches may call a practice for run-through prior to games TIME: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM WHERE: Manchac Park Players wear practice uniforms with pads, helmets, cleats Please Note: NO PRACTICES Wednesday, AUGUST 7 th (First Day of School) Thursday, October 31 st (Halloween) Assistant Coaches Needed! We will take photos of the players for the packet.
