Social Studies In Action!

I would like to place an order soon for field trip shirts. They help our chaperones keep our big group together, as well as help us bond as a

class. We will wear them on every trip and then on the last day of school, we will all get a chance to sign each other’s shirts to remember our special first grade year. Watch your child’s blue camp folder for more information!

This week, we literally put our hands on our learning topic! We learned more about our community and how we can make a difference within it. We decided the trail needed our help, so we cleaned it. A very BIG thank you goes out to those who were able to help us. (Feel free to come back Friday afternoon or over the weekend to continue the work, ha ha!) We can’t wait to read or even eat lunch out there and look forward to spending many more days “growing” in nature, as well as in the classroom.
