Lost Trail and Hatchet
In literature class, we have read two books, one is non-fiction, and one is
fiction. Hatchet is fiction and Lost Trail is non-fiction. The main character of
Hatchet is Brian, and the main character of Lost Trail is Donn. Brian and Donn
were completely alone in different places. When Brian was on his way to visit his
dad, he got into a plane crash when the pilot had a heart attack! He landed in the
Canadian woods. However, Donn was on Mt. Katadhin when he left his friends
and family during a storm. They both spent different times alone. Brian was alone
for about fifty-four days and Donn was alone for nine. Their survival plans were
different too. Brian chose to stay in one place but Donn just kept moving. In
conclusion, I like Hatchet better because the author wrote it with a lot more
detail. If you have read both books, which one do you like better?
