History of fortune telling

Today’s objectives:• List the three written parts of a paper

fortune teller with 100% accuracy.• Given a blank paper and color crayons,

create a paper fortune-teller within two minutes.

STEP 1:• Start with a square

piece of paper.

• Fold it in half to make a triangle.

• Then, open it back up into a square.

STEP 2:• Fold the paper in half

diagonally a second time to make a new triangle.

• When you open the paper this time, the folds should form an X.

STEP 3:

• Fold all four corners toward the center of the paper so the points meet in the middle.

STEP 4:

• Once all the corners meet, flip the paper over so the folded side faces down.

STEP 5:• Again, fold each of the

four corners back toward the center so the points meet in the middle.

• Now you should have a smaller square.

STEP 6:• On the same side,

write the numbers 1-8.

• There should be one number in each triangle.

STEP 7:• Now, open each flap

and write a fortune on each of the triangles inside.

• That should give you two fortunes per flap.

• Close each flap back up when you are done writing on it.

STEP 8:• Flip the Fortune Teller

over

• And color each of the four squares a different color

STEP 9:• Now, fold the square

vertically and then again horizontally to loosen it up.

• Now, you’re ready to play!
