“Circle” Easter Treat Box Tutorial

This little Easter Treat Box is one that I custom designed.  It was inspired by a circle card that we learned how to make at Stampin’ Up!’s Leadership Convention.  I started with their basic design and altered it into a 3 dimensional box.  You can see a side view of the box below:

Supplies used for this project: Stamps: A Good Egg Ink: Black Staz On, Basic Black Stampin’ Spot (you could use a Black Stampin’

Write Marker), So Saffron and Pumkin Pie Classic Ink, So Saffron and Going Gray WWC (watercolor wonder crayon)

Paper: 12" x 12" So Saffron CS,  1 1/2" x 11" piece of Chocolate Chip CS, 1" x 11" piece of Bashful Blue CS, scraps of Whisper White CS and Chocolate Chip CS

Accessories: 8" piece and a 6" piece of wide chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon, On Board Ginormous Pieces Chipboard – the largest circle was punched out and the "frame" used as a template, corner rounder punch with the guard removed, stamp-a-ma-jig, blender pen, personal paper trimmer with scoring blade, medium cello bag, Stampin’ Dimensionals, paper snips, white Signo Gel Pen, paper crimper, bone folder

Step-by-Step DirectionsStep 1:  Align the template with the top corner of the 12" x 12" piece of So Saffron CS.  Using a pencil, trace the outline of the circle. The diameter of the circle is aobut 8 1/2" so if you don’t have the template shown below, any circle shape or circle cutter that has a circle of approximately the same size will work.  Even if the circle is a tad bit smaller or a tad bit bigger the project will still work.

 Step 2:  Cut out the circle along the pencil lines.  Line it up with your grid paper as shown and using a ruler if necessary, make a pencil line on the left and right sides of the circle at 3" and at 3 1/2" as shown. 

 Step 3: Line up the pencil marks with the channels on your personal paper trimmer and score all the way across the circle along both the 3" mark and then the 3 1/2" marks.

 Step 4:  Fold along the 3" score line (using your bone folder) , then line up the fold along the top edge of the personal paper trimmer.  You are going to score at: 1 5/8", 2 1/8", 6 3/8" and 6 7/8".  **Note:  when you are aligning your folded circle, you are NOT lining up the largest part of the circle with these dimensions – you are lining up the very top left corner of the fold.

 Step 5:  Crease along all the score lines using your bone folder.  Your template will look like this:

 Step 6: Using your paper snips, cut out the two smaller pieces of the circle, following the innermost (towards the center of the circle) score lines.

 Step 7:  Flip the circle over. Stamp the small flower stamp all over the back of the circle using So Saffron ink.  Color in the center of each small flower using a white signo gel pen.

 Step 8: Flip the template back over, fold in the side flaps, add sticky strip along the left and right edges of the bottom flap as shown in the picture.

 Step 9:  Peel of the backing from the sticky strip and carefully bring up the bottom flap and align and stick onto the side flaps so that the box looks as shown.  I found it easier to peel of the backing and stick one side at a time.

 Step 10: Take your 1 1/2" x 11" strip of Chocolate Chip CS and score and fold at 1 3/4".  Lay this fold over the front right edge of the box, and using your fingers carefully shape the belly band around the creases.  Do this one crease at a time by gently pinching the CS over the crease to get an "impression" of the crease. After each crease, remove the belly band, place it onto the grid paper and fully crease as shown in Step 11.

 Step 11: Each time you crease the areas that you pinched, make sure that the sides of the CS strip are aligned, this will ensure your crease line is straight.

 Step 12: Once you have finished going over step 10 and 11 for each crease, use your corner rounder punch to create a scalloped edge on each side of the CS strip. If you’ve never used your corner rounder to create a scalloped edge click HERE to see a tutorial that was created by Beate Johns.

 Step 13: You will be overlapping the ends on the backside of the box.  Notice from the picture below, that if you were to do that right now, you would see where the scallops do not quite match up.  The next step will help you solve that problem. Before you move on though, take a pencil and make a small mark on the top and bottom right where the flap overlaps. ends.

 Step 14: Take your paper snips and cut away the scallops from the bottom flap as shown in the picture.

 Step 15:  Attach the belly band. As you can see, now when you overlap the flaps, you no longer see the mis-matched scalloped edges.  Use your snips to tidy it up a little if you need to.

 Step 16: This is what the front of the box now looks like.

 Step 17: Take your 1" x 11" strip of Bashful Blue CS, score and fold it at 1 3/4", and then shape it around the box, the same way you did the chocolate chip belly band.

 Step 18: Once you’ve creased and folded your belly band so that is fits around the box, remove it and on the longer end, stamp "happy easter" just to the left of the score line. Use your Stamp-a-ma-jig if nessary. Mount the band so that it is centered in the chocolate chip band.  This time though, the "seam" where the two ends overlap will end up on the front right side of the box. This seam will be covered by the ribbon.

 Step 19: Take some Chocolate Chip CS scraps and run them through a crimper.  Using a paper trimmer or the SU table top cutter, cut them into very thin strips.  Crunch up the strips and gently rub them between your palms.  This will become the filler for your treat box.

  Step 20: Tie your 8" piece of ribbon around the Bashful Blue CS strip – position it so that it covers where the ends overlap – and tie in a knot. Stamp, color and cut out your chick and the half egg shell and mount.Fill your medium cello bag with your treats -remember the box is only 1/2" deep so the treats have to lay relatively flat.  Tie the cello bag shut with the 6" piece of ribbon tied ina knot.  Place a little tissue on the inside bottom of the box for "padding",  insert your treat then stuff a little filler along both sides.  You’re done! 

Birthday Box :LID :12 x 12 inch Card stock score all 4 side at 2 ¾ “ and cut upto the score line up and down.Bottom:Take a 12 x 12 inch card stock and cut 1/8 “ on 2 sides of card stock. Score all 4 sides at 2 ¾ “ and fold all the score lines cut slits up and downApply sticky strip on 4 sides of the slit made above on the up side.Close the box

Twinkle Twinkle little Star... with NO adhesive

Hi girls .. Here is the Star tutorial  I really hope this  makes sense to you ..  1st of all you  will need  a 6x6 piece of Designer paper , Bone  folder, Cutter ( for scoring) Scissors   and   a long body stapler  and  some type of cord  or ribbon Thats it ... Ok are you  ready to begin ?  Remember  you can click photo to enlarge .

Score your  6x6 piece of Designer paper  at 1,2,3,4,& 5 

  what ever side you want your  star  design  to be  you  will lay your 6x6 piece of DS paper  face down ( shown in photo )

Start by folding your DS paper  accordian  style  as shown

in photo.   Continue folding by flipping  and folding   until you reached the end

This  will be   what  the TOP of your  star  accordian  fold  will look like  REMEMBER this is the TOP with the 3  mountain  tops  and  YOU will be cutting  the other side " Bottom " ( This is VERY important  girls )

Next you will Then insert your  accordian  folded strip into your cutter  and  score a light mark  at 3" this will be  the center of your  strip  ( This mark only  severs as a  reminder  for the next step .. If you  can eye ball the  center then skip this  step  Hee! Hee!

Ok Now  using the  long body  stapler  you  will staple   in the center ( as shown in  this photo ) over top of the  light score line  you made in previous step

  Ok now we are ready for  cutting .. REMEMBER you  will always be cutting on the BOTTOM side ( Refer back to step 5) ok  place your thumb over the center  staple  and  this will serve as  your guide where to cut I am right handed so my  cuts and the   bottom  of the  strip is facing right ( Very important  girls )

Ok now  start  cutting  at an angle  to the   top left side .. start  cutting   just below your  thumb ( as shown in  photo ) If you need to cut more  you  can always  cut more off later  But you  can never  put it back on  so  until you  make your  1st one  it is always better  to  cut less  than to MUCH  KWIM? wink wink !

Next Flip  your  strip  upward  and  cut the  next  side the same way as shown in photo . Using your thumb as  your guide again

Ok once your  done  cutting your angles this is what  the BOTTOM of your  star will look likeOk now  comes the folding .. Remember   once you get the folding part down  you  will just play around with your  finished star  making adjustments  to  postion your  star YOU will not need any adhesive

Ok  next fold  one panel at a time  upward making a crease  to have it  stand  up  shown in  the photo .  You may want to  fold the  accordian  strip in half to make this  part easier  just to  get the center  creased  so each panel will stand upward

OK  here comes the trick girls  I really think the photo explains this best  since I  find it hard to  put into words .. Ok I will try . once you have your panel standing upward  take  your panel and  lay it  down  to your table  making  sure to make the  triangle  Point in the center .. You see the star forming now dont  you ??

Continue   doing this to all the panels  as shown in previous step .

Once you have done all your panels  now  comes the playing ... just postion your star panels  by  adjusting them  and pushing the  centers out or in  whatever  you  want your finished  Star to look like. Final step is punch a  tiny hole in  the top of one panel and add your  cording .. TA DA  you made your  Star  for  decorating  your  Home , tree  and or gifts . Dont you just love it ??

Dawns EXTRA Bonus TIP:  Now you  can make even smaller stars   using these directions  BUT  to make  a smaller star  cut your  piece of DS paper at 3x3 and score at  1/2" , 1", 1 1/2",  2" & 2 1/2" and follow the steps  above  this makes such a cute  tiny tiny  star. POP UP CARD

Cut (1) Pink cord stock [CS] and (1) whisper white card stock[CS] at 4 ¼” x 5 1/2 “

Pull out tag part to be 3”x 4 ¾”

Line the CS at 3 ½” and Now cut pink CS starting at ¾” inch upto 4 ¾” on one side and repeat the same in the other side (Length)

Line the CS at 4 ¾” from top and start cutting from ¾” to 3 ½” (WIDTH)

Line the CS at 1 ¼” from bottom and score at that point. only the cut portion not the whole CS

Then slide it down to 3” and score it agin .this gives us the Centre Pop Up.

Then Slide the CS to 4 ¾” and score it again.(this will the connection between the cut part the CS)

Fold all the score lines.Now punch the the 2 cs by lining up both of them with 1” circle punch.punch only the half circle.

Now take a sticky strip and apply it at 1 ¼” scored part and place the pul out tag part carefully.(ill be little big but place it as to sit in place)

And now apply adhesive on all sides and attach the whisper white CS.

SCROLL CARD

Black CS cut at 4 ¼” x 10 ½” and scored at 3” , 7 ½” and 10” and whisper white CS cut at 3” x 8 ½”

Tiny Basket

Hi Stampers :   Happy to see you here today . The Supplies I am using for my Basket  are  Regal Rose Card stock & Classic ink  along with Certainly  Celery  card stock , scallop punch ,  1 1/4 , 1 3/8 circle punch, sticky  strip ,  dimensional,  Stamp set TART & TANGY  with the Jumbo  wheel PETALS  white gel pen  and SU! markers  Regal rose  and Cetrainly  celery .

WATER FALL CARD

Materials :

CS cut at 4 ¼”x 5 ½” and another Designer paper cut at 4” x 5 ¼”

You can make a full size card cut at 4 ¼” x 11”

You need 4 Squares of whisper white cut at 1 7/8” x 1 7/8” and 4 red CS cut at 2” x 2”

1 strip of red color cut at ¾” x 4” and another strip of red cut at 2” x 9”

a ribbon and eyelets.

Apply adhesive to whisper white and stick it to red do it for all 4 pieces.

Then take your 2” x 9” CS (red) and score at 2” , 2 ¾” , 3 ½” , 1 ¼” and fold all your score lines

Stick white CS design to green.take the strip and lay it on the Card and punch a hole to strip along with card.put and eyelet.

Insert the long strip inside the short strip and place where you want and position your sticky strip by removing and place the long strip.

Apply the adhesive to the SQ s and line it up to the score lines.from bottom to top.

PAPER BOX WITH LID

This origami video shows how to make a box with a lid out of two square sheets of paper.  This fold makes a great gift box for presents.  In this video, I use 12 x 12 inch scrapbook paper.  The box comes out to be 3 x 3 x 6 inches.  Your box dimensions will be N/4 x N/4 x N/2, where “N” is the original edge length of your square paper… yes, origami and math go hand in hand.

Materials:

1. Two square pieces of paper. 1. One piece will be the lid and one piece will be the box

bottom… you may choose different colors if you like. 2. The paper should be a heavy weight (or card stock) to give

the box some stability.

2. You may want to use tape to more permanently secure the lid to the box.  Clear packing tape works well.

3. You may want to cut a piece of foam or batting and place it in the box bottom for presentation purposes.

Make the 12X12 Paper into 16 Squares as above.(Same for the lid)

Fold 1 and 4 SQ inside.Fold the whole top Row upto 3rd Row.(LID : Fold 1 and 4 SQ inside , fold 1 to 4 SQ half and now fold 1 to 13 and 4 to 16 inside)

Turn the Paper Back side. (Forms a diamond shape) Fold the down SQ to Up side to cover the Half diamond

Shape. Fold the flaps and put the big flaps under the diamond shape

so that the diamond shape is again seen.. Proceed in this way to complete the bottom,

PAPER STAR

This origami video shows how to make origami lucky stars, or what I like to call puffy (or p.diddy) stars.  For this you’ll need a long thin strip of paper.  The tradition is that you fill a jar with these things and give them to someone you like.  I’ve also heard that, like the origami paper crane, if you make a 1000 of these, your wish will be granted.

Materials:

Long thin strip of paper.  In this origami video, I’m using 15mm x 310mm paper (about 1/4 inch by 12 inches)

PAPER LOTUS WITH PETALS

This origami video shows how to make a lotus flower out of six separate sheets of paper.  There is a way to make a lotus out of just one sheet, but I think this fold is a little easier and looks better because you can make the petals and leaves different colors.

Materials:

1. You will need six rectangular sheets (the sheets I use in this video are 4cm x 7cm, but you can use any size proportional to those dimensions.  yes, origami and math go hand in hand).

1. 3 of the sheets will become petals (choose a color) 2. 3 of the sheets will become leaves (choose a different

color) 2. You will need something to bind the sheets together.  In this

video, I use a small piece of yellow pipe cleaner so it will look like pollen when viewed from above.  Some alternative binding materials are:

1. rubber band 2. twist tie 3. string or yarn (you’ll need to tie it

FROG BASE

This origami video shows you how to make the frog base.  From the frog base, you can of course make an origami hopping frog; however, this base is used in a number of other folds, such as the lily, a snail and even an X-wing fighter from star wars.

Materials:

1. One square sheet of paper.

ORCHID FLOWER

This origami video shows how to make what I call an orchid flower.  I’ve never seen this pattern in print, and I actually discovered it when I made a mistake while trying to fold a traditional lily / iris flower from memory.  It starts with the frog base, and is nearly identical to the lily / iris except for one key step when forming the petals

Materials:

1. One square sheet of paper 2. pipe cleaner – optional 3. stem tape – optional

Make SQ BASE from Above .2 flaps on top and 2 flaps on Bottom.

LILLY

This origami video shows how to make a traditional origami lily flower.  It starts with the frog base, which is included in this video, but if you already know the frog base, you can make one and then skip ahead in the video.  I use a pencil to help shape the petals at the end, but any smooth (so not to tear the paper) rounded object will work – chop stick, pen, screwdriver, etc

**note: the origami lily and iris are the same pattern

BELL FLOWER

This origami video shows how to make a flower that is bell or trumpet shaped.  The frog base is required for this fold.  This flower can be easily modified to take on different looks and purposes.  It is the same flower used on my “lucky flower box.”  I will release a video at a later date (mid to late April) showing how to modify and arrange this flower and a few others.  Stay tuned.

X WING FIGHTER

This origami video shows how to make an X-Wing Fighter from the Star Wars movies.  My instructions are based on diagrams by Philip Schulz of The Happy Magpie.  To make this X-Wing, you’ll need to start with the origami frog base.  You can view that instructional video below.

BIRD BASE

This video starts from the origami square base and shows how to make an origami bird base.  As you might guess from the name, the bird base is used when making the traditional origami crane; however, it can be used as a starting point for other origami patterns as well so it’s good to learn how to make this fold.

Materials:

SUARE BASE

This video shows how to make an origami square base.  The square base is a commonly used starting point for many other origami patterns so it’s good to learn how to make this fold.

Materials:

1. One square sheet of paper Fold the SQ piese of paper half .(color part to be outside)

and Unfold Fold the SQ paper into half in other dorection Make a triangle fold on all directions

WATER BOMB BASE

This origami video shows you how to make the traditional origami water bomb base.  With this base you can make the origami water bomb (paper balloon) of course, but the fold is used in many other types of origami like this spaceship and tank, and this butterfly.

Materials:

BUNNY RABBIT

This video shows how to make an origami bunny rabbit.  It starts with the water bomb base, and just like the water bomb, you have to blow it up.  I suppose like a water bomb you could also fill it up with water and toss it at a friend.  These are fun for spring or Easter decorations, and when you make them with pinks or yellows, they kinda look like peeps! You gotta love fluffy marshmallows covered in ultra-bright heavily dyed refined sugar….

PAPER BUTTERFLY

In this video, I show you how to make one style of origami butterfly.  This origami butterfly starts from the water bomb base.

Materials:

1. One square sheet of paper… in this video I use 150 mm x 150 mm origami paper

PAPER BALLOON

This origami video shows how to make an origami paper balloon.  Some people call it the waterbomb.  I guess you can fill it up with water and throw it at someone, but I usually just toss it around like a ball or insert a hook and hang it for decoration. In this video I use a 12 x 12 inch piece of scrapbook paper; The finished product comes out to be roughly 3 x 3 x 3 inches; Your balloon dimensions will be N/4 x N/4 x N/4, where “N” is the original edge length of your square paper ( yes, origami and math go hand in hand).

Materials:

One square sheet of paper (I use scrapbook paper which is a little on the thick side, so it’s a little harder to inflate, but keeps it’s shape better)

If you want to hang this as a decoration, you can use a paper clip or a hook.

PAPER CRANE

This origami video builds on what was shown in my square base and bird base videos (shown below… just scroll down), and shows how to make a traditional origami crane.  This is a very popular fold, and probably the one that people ask me for the most often when they find out I do origami… So if you learn this fold, either keep it secret or be

prepared to make lots of cranes for friends and family.  On the bright side however, legends say that if nyou can fold 1000 of these, your wishes will come true.

Materials:

1. One sheet of square paper

PAPER DOVE

This origami video shows how to make a simple origami bird.  Instead of the popular origami crane, this bird looks more like a dove or pigeon.  In this video I use 12 x 12 inch scrapbook paper.  Your finished product will be a little longer than half of your original paper dimensions.  I also show how to quickly and easily turn the dove into a hanging decoration.

Materials:

1. One square sheet of paper 2. Paperclips (optional) to use as hooks for hanging your dove as a

decoration 3. Clear tape (optional) 4. Micro screwdriver (optional) or something small and pointed to

make a hole for the hook 5. Multi-tool  (optional) or some kind of pliers to reshape the

paperclips into hooks

MOON AND SUN

This origami video shows how to make an eight point star from eight squares.  This is sometimes called a “the sun and moon” origami fold or “star and moon” origami fold because it starts out as a circle and then you transform it into a star.  This is one of my all time favorite folds.  **this fold was designed by Robert Neale and published in the book “Origami: Plain and Simple”**

Materials:

1. Eight squares all the same size 1. In this video I use 10 x 10 cm card stock squares that I cut

(I use my trusty Carl brand rotary paper cutter) from larger sheets

2. The final product is about 15 cm across at it’s widest

2. I like to use 2 different colors, but of course you can use 1 or up to 8 colors in any combination

DISC SLEEVES

This origami video shows two quick and easy ways to make your own disc sleeves.  This is a great way to save money and protect CD’s, DVD’s and even video games.   If you’ve made a mixed CD as a gift, making your own sleeve is a nice way to further personalize the gift.

Materials:

1. 8.5 x 11 inch paper 1. You can use copy / printer paper and decorate and label it 2. You can use pre-patterned paper (say that 10 times fast) 3. You can use pages from magazines or catalogs (that’s

what I use in the video)

PAPER CUP

I use 6 x 6 inch (~15 cm) paper and end up with a cup that has approximately a 3.5 inch (~9 cm) mouth and is 2.5 inches (~6.25 cm) deep

PAPER BOOKLETThis video shows how to make a quick and simple booklet from two sheets of paper.The finished product will have a front and back cover, and two sheets ( 4 pages front & back) in the middle.

Materials:

1. Two sheets of paper.  For this video I use two 8.5 x 11 inch sheets, but you can use any size depending on what you want your booklet to look like.

PAPER TANK

This origami video shows how to make a cool little tank.  It’s very similar to an origami spaceship fold that I’ve made a video for.  I used make tons of these things and wage little wars on my desk in school.

Materials:

1. One sheet of rectangular paper (notebook or printer paper works great)

2. One sheet of smaller paper.  If you’re using an 8.5 x 11 inch sheet then a post-it note will work well.

Materials: 2 sheets of scrapbook paper for each box – 12” x 12″ sheet of paper makes a box 2-1/8″ x 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ 10″ x 10″ sheet of paper makes a box 1-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ 8″ x 8″ sheet of paper makes a box 1-1/2″ x 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ Aleene’s® Original Tacky Glue Sticks Aleene’s® Super Thick Tacky Glue™ Embellishments – ribbons

Instructions:

For making a box from 12″ x 12″ paper, center and draw a 4-1/4″ square on wrong side of paper (diagram 1). Referring to this diagram,

label corners A, B, C and D and center square E as shown. Fold each corner in to meet at center of E (diagram 2). Fold top and bottom edges in to meet at center (diagram 3). Fold side edges in to meet at center. Unfold paper. Referring to diagram 1, cut along broken lines only. Do not cut into center square E. Label flaps f, g, h and i as shown. Refold corners A and C to center. fold each edge up, forming 2 sides of box and overlapping flaps f and g (diagram 4). Use a swipe of Aleene’s Glue Stick to hold flaps together. Fold in flaps h and i and use a swipe of glue to secure (diagram 5). Refold corners B and D to center to complete box top (diagram 6). Use a smudge of glue to hold. For box bottom, trim 1/8″ from each edge of paper square and repeat steps. Decorate box as desired using Aleene’s Super Thick Tacky Glue for your heavier embellishments. Enjoy!

Heidi’s Designer Tips: Don’t let these diagrams scare you off! Once you get the hang of folding, you’ll be making these by the dozen so that you’ll have cute gift boxes for any occasion!

TAG BOOKMaterials :

2 pieces of CS cut at 6” X 6” with sticky strip along one side of each CS.

1 piece cut at 4” X 6” scored at every ½” fold in a cordian style. Need 9 tags and cut in an angle of same size.Peel of the stick strip and line it up with cordian style piece and do it the same on the other side.(Book is Ready)

Apply sticky strip on to the Tag and place on to the to the cordian style.TRIANGLE TRI FOLD CARD:Materials

Piece of Chocolate Chip cut at 31/2” X 101/2” 1 piece of designer paper cut at 31/4” X 31/4” piece of ribbonScore the CS at 31/2” and 7”.for Scoring start at top right point and score down to bottom of 31/2” Score line.(Make an Angle score line)Again start at inside top 7” score line and score down to bottom left PiontFold all the score lines and fold over.Cut the designer paper of 31/4” X 31/4” in half point to point.Apply adhesive and add this to the bottom of the scored lines.

MINI TREAT BOX

You will need a 2 1/2 X 8 1/2  piece of card stock for this box .. I am using  the brand new IN color called Kiwi Kiss  along with the  new designer paper called Bella Rose .

Designer paper is cut at 1 7/8 X  1 1/4 

and the handle  is cut at 1/2 " X 5 1/2 "

TRI FOLD CARD

Materials: 1 piece of 41/4” x 11” CS

Score the CS at 2” , 3 3/4” , 71/4” , 9”.Fold inside score lines in and fold the outsode score lines out as in the figTake an elastic thread and make a hole between the score lines and do the same on Birthday piece card and make a knot .GREETING CARD

Here is what you will need: 

4 1/4" X 5 1/2" piece of  scrap  cardstock ( I am using whisper white in the video) you  will tear this piece   in half  from  corner to corner making 

sure your  rips  are not even . ( Note the more uneven the better.. Thats nice to hear huh? )

Cardstock for  finished  card  measurements

Whisper white 3 3/4" X 5" matted on  Groovy Guava  at 4" X 5 1/2" base card ( River Rock )  4 1/4 " X 11"

2 coordinating  ink  colors ( I always like  working with lightest color 1st then adding  darker colored  last )

Dauber or sponges

Black ink pad

Then any other accessory you  may want to add to your  finished card ( I used   Black Stampin  write  marker  and Groovy  guava  Stitched  ribbon

CANDY HOLDER

Materials:

CS cut at 31/4” x 9 5/8”

Score the CS at 3” , 3 3/8” , 6 3/8” , 6 ¾” . Fold all score lines

Make scallop punch and take sticky strip and pate it under scallop shape.

Take a CS of 3” x 3” and make a scllop shape and stick it to the 3” x 3’

SECRET PANEL CARD

Materials:

CS cut at 5 ½” x 8” and score at 2” , 4” , 6”. 2 pieces of whisper white CS cut at 5 ½”x 1

7/8”( which is the notch before 2”)

Fold the CS at score lines as shown in the fig (When finished it shud resemble a “W”)

Cut 2 slits in the center upto score line (a rectangle is formed)

Weave the whisper white piece under the center Rectangle.and weave your 2 nd piece under and over the rectangle.

THE NEVER ENDING CARD ..

  #1 you will cut your cs in to 4 pieces  each piece measures 3X6

#2 score all 4 pieces   at 1.5 vertical as shown in the  photo

#3 Ok now score  on  both ends of each piece at 1.5 "

#4 Ok now  butt 2 of your pieces  together and have the both center lines going  Horizontal( long ways ) . now  apply  your adhesive in the  4 corners ONLY as shown in photo. Make sure  your 2 pieces are  butted  next to each other with out any gaps .

#5 Ok now take your 2 remaining  pieces  and lay them on top of your  project  you did in step 4 BUT have your  remaining  2 pieces   the center lines  going vertical ( up and down )  make sure all pieces are lined up  and  are ONLY attached by the 4 corners  with adhesive as shown in photo.Once you finished   thats it .. NOW what? the never ending card  begins

  #6 always  start with your never ending card  with the  front center lines  going  vertical ( up and down )  now open  the  center  panels  to each side as shown in photo  with  panels going to back and panels going to side ( the back panels  should  go  all the way to backside  leaving those 2 panels you opened  on the sides )..and SCORE the folds very  good.. These next steps   remember to score all panels you open  this makes it much easier to glide through the never ending card . Because as 1st its a little stiff..

  #7 Now  take the center  of your card and  open to top and bottom  as shown in the photo . Making sure your scoring all along  the fold lines  when you open  each  section

  #8 Ok this  is what you  card should look like now,  like a cross  some what  and you can see  by the  center  this will be 

the next panels  that   are opened .. So opening your center panels  to each side ( like your opening a book )  This will take  you to the next  frame of the never ending card ...  you still with me .. We are almost done

  #9 This is what it looks like when opening  step 8.. Keep going your doing great!!

  # 10  this is the last  frame of your  never ending card before you  open the center panels again and you will be back at the beginning score all  your panels folds .. this is very important  to the never  ending  card . ok so open the  center  flaps  one going up and one going down ..( flip  the panel  all the way to backside  This is going to reveal  the  front of your  card in step 11 below )  .   

  #11 Congrats you made it back to the beginning  .. You made your never ending card  YAHOO!Now  I usually  always stamp my never ending card  when it has been  all  put together, and scored .. This way it helps me to now where to stamp my images  in each  frame of the never ending card .. BUT remember  there are overlaying  panels  so when you stamp  , go to the next frame to see what all will stay  so you  don't have images  somewhere floating   out of the blue ..  Ok  next I have all the finished  photos  of my stamped  never ending card  on my web shots gallery  which you can view HERE For my  never ending card I used the retired set PERFECT PARTY in of course the purple family  of  ink colors

( orchild  opulence , lovely lilac )  cant wait to see all of your never ending cards .. so fun to make and especially fun to give  . your finished  card measures   6x6   so you can mail these  in  SU!   large sq envelopes  that measure 6.5 X 6.5

Mile Stone in History yesterday..

  I am sure you all have seen and heard we hit the  big 300 million person born in USA yesterday  Wowzie .. appartently the last record of 200 million was back in 1967 ( the year I was born ) so I had a big part of that record  that year ..

well for such a Doozie of a record I thought I would post a doozie of a card this morning  and instead of  re-inventing the wheel ( so to speak ) I thought I would just post Michelle's Blog for you all to get the directions for this AWESOME card... Michelles directions are  Great and easy to follow .. ( Thanks so Much Michelle ) This card uses 2 pieces of cardstock  and does have a few steps BUT its alot of fun  so Much fun that I have uploaded all the

ones I have made so far .. remember back a few days ago when I told you about making 6 of  these awesome cards as thank yous for Daughters  car wash fundrasier  well here they all in all their glory ( Purple and Gold .. Yes purple is  my fav color BUT  these are daughters school colors  also ..YAHOO!) ...The window  in the card moves  when you open it  I tried to capture this movement in my still photos BUT this  type of card is so much better IRL ( In real life )  double pleassure ( fun making  & Fun opening it )

Graduation card   for My friend Lindas daughter Whitney ..( needless to say  she wants this card )

the only thing different  she wants is the moving part inside to say "Your Invited " 

so  what a relief  it is for me that she doesnt need these invites until June of 2007  she will be needing 100 of these babies .. I hope you enjoy these cards in my post  today and  have fun making your own Peek-a-boo card  sometime this week ...
