BACK TOSCHOOL

On behalf of the St. Charles Parish School Board and the entire St. Charles Parish Public School System, welcome to our new parents and students, and welcome back to our returning families!

We hope you had a great summer and are ready to start the new school year. Our summer was a busy one preparing for the first day of school with teachers and staff members participating in professional development and facilities being inspected and cleaned.

I wanted to share with you our motto this year: Every Student Matters and Every Moment Counts. Students are the heart of our school system, and all of our actions will be based on the premise that each one matters, each one can learn, and each one can achieve. We believe every student should be celebrated for their individuality, personal growth, and accomplishments. Every moment counts reflects the urgency of our task at hand of ensuring all students are successfully prepared for their future academically, socially, and emotionally. We aim to harness and nurture each student’s talents, skills, hopes, and dreams because every student plays a vital role in making our community, state, and country stronger.

We look forward to working with you and your child(ren) to make this school year a great one!

Dr. Ken Oertling, Superintendent#EveryStudentEveryMoment

Our cafeterias serve well-balanced, nourishing meals at reasonable prices. Menus and meal prices can be found at www.stcharles.k12.la.us.

Because of federal regulations, all students must select at least one fruit or vegetable before exiting the serving line. These regulations are designed to promote increased consumption of fruits and vegetables for a healthier diet.

A meal payment system is available to make payments to students’ accounts and check account balances either online or via phone. You can also set reminders to notify you each time the balance is low. To register, please visit www.MySchoolBucks.com or call 1-855-832-5226. You will need your child’s student ID number which can be obtained from the school office or cafeteria.
