Pantomime film fun at The Brunton, Musselburgh
The screening lasts for 1 hour 35 minutes.
This includes a 15 minute short film looking back on 10 years of pantomime at The Brunton.
Please do watch our reopening video https://youtu.be/NPL_zpcTOVg to see what changes and procedures we have put in place to keep you safe during your visit to The Brunton.
Rapunzel is the pantomime version of a traditional story. A pantomime is a comic play, based on a traditional story, using song, dance, comedy, colourful sets and costumes to entertain families at Christmas. This year the pantomime has been filmed at The Brunton and locations around Musselburgh, so it can be shown on the big screen in Venue 1 at The Brunton. One of the characters in the pantomime is the pantomime dame, called Jessie Jobseeker, played by a man dressed up as a woman.

The Brunton has a cinema in Venue 1. It is a big building on the
corner of a street in Musselburgh.
Entering the building
Enter at the Ladywell Way door
You will see this
Look for the arrow pointing to
Venue 1
Welcome to The Brunton

Once inside you will see dots on the floor
showing you where to go. We also have hand
sanitiser for you to use.
There are signs up outside Venue 1 and our
ushers will be there to greet you.
The inside of Venue 1 is called the auditorium.
To keep everyone safe,
not all seats are in use.
It is a big place with a lot of seats.

When you get to your seat, sit down and relax.
There will be a lot of people sitting near you and it may be quite
noisy.
Just before the film starts, the cinema will get darker and everyone
will be quiet. The room will not be completely dark. You will need to
be as quiet as you can during the film so that you can hear
everything.
When the film starts, the lights will go dimmer, but some lights will
stay on. During the
pantomime film, if the
sounds are too loud, you
can put your hands over
your ears, or wear your
headphones (if you
brought some with you).
5
You can leave the cinema at any time during the pantomime film if
you want to go to a quiet place. The bar area will be a quiet room.
At the end of the film, the lights in the cinema will get brighter and
you leave your seat.
You might not leave the same way that you came into the cinema.
The Ushers will be available to help you exit The Brunton.
We hope you have a lovely time
at Rapunzel The Pantomime!
