Innovative, advanced hardware systemfor emergency exits.

With its PHA 2500 system,DORMA is able to offer ahigh-quality panic exit deviceon the basis of an integratedemergency escape lock for single- and double-leafdoors. The system is certifiedaccording to EN 1125 andcarries the mark and isideal for narrow stile doorsin emergency exits in whichsafety, security, reliabilityand aesthetic elegance are amust. This Panic Hardwaresystem constitutes a furtherbuilding block in the DORMA

product portfolio for the safecontrol of emergency escaperoutes. It satisfies in full the demands placed onemergency exit devices usedin public facilities such as hospitals, universities andschools, concert halls, shopping malls, hotels andadministrative buildings.With this series, moreover,the external fitting can beprovided in the form of anOGRO project lever handleto EN 1906 and DIN 18273from its ZS range.

The panic exit devices in theDORMA PHA 2500 seriesare tested and certified toEN 1125.All products comply with therequirements of Annex ZA to EN 1125 and thus qua-lify to carry the mark ofconformity. Additional approval certifi-cation of the relevant fireand smoke check doors maybe necessary – check localregulations.

Lever handle spindles

The lever handle spindlesincluded in the scope ofsupply of the PHA 2500system are designed for doorthicknesses of 50 – 60 mmor 60 – 70 mm. In the caseof locks with functions D andB (split follower), a centrallock fit is necessary for theselever handle spindles. In the case of door leaf

thicknesses outside the givenranges and/or an asymmetriclock fit, the correspondinglever handle spindle willneed to be separately ordered.Please ensure that all therelevant drawing dimensionsare indicated.

Transmission function E

For doors in which unautho-rised opening from the outside must be reliably prevented. Opening of thedoor from the inside (dangerside) is always possible.

In the event of a panicsituation, the latch and theengaged bolt are retractedsimultaneously by actuatingthe exit device from the inside. The bolt remainswithdrawn and can be lockedagain using the key.

On the outside is a fixeddead knob. The door can beunlocked and the latchretracted using the key.Locking is always performedwith the key.

Transit function D

For doors in which passagefrom the outside may occa-sionally be necessary.Opening of the door fromthe inside (danger side) isalways possible.Following panic activation,access from the outside isalso automatically enabled.

In the event of a panicsituation, the latch and theengaged bolt are retractedsimultaneously by actuatingthe exit device from the inside. After panic unlocking,the bolt remains withdrawnand can be locked againwith the key.

A lever handle is fitted tothe outside face. The doorcan be unlocked and thelatch retracted using thelever handle.

Change-over function B

For doors in which passagefrom the outside may occa-sionally be necessary. Thelever handle on the outsideface may be engaged anddisengaged. Opening of thedoor from the inside (dangerside) is always possible.

In the event of a panicsituation, the latch and theengaged bolt are retractedsimultaneously by actuatingthe exit device from the inside. After panic unlocking,the bolt remains withdrawnand can be locked againwith the key.

A lever handle is fitted tothe outside face. The keycan be used to retract thelock and engage the leverhandle which can then beused to retract the latch.The lever handle remainsengaged until the key isused to re-lock the door.

Controlled Latch Retainer (Option)

For doors in which passagefrom the outside is alwaysnecessary. The latch isretracted with the key. In this position the latchretainer can be pushed up.

The latch is now held insidethe lock case. The retractedlatch is released by projec-ting the dead bolt.

Not permitted for fire- andsmoke check doors.
