Colour television was introduced in the United States in 1954. In Australia, test broadcasting in colour was carried out in the 1960s, but the full changeover to broadcastingin colour didn’t take place until 1975.

“WHO IS PRESENT”?
The Late Late Show (Ireland), which first aired in 1962, and The Tonight Show (USA), which first aired in 1954, are the longest running TV talk shows in the world.
Earl Wild was the first pianist to perform a recital on television in 1939, and was also the first pianist to stream a performance on the internet, nearly 60 years later.
Psycho, released in 1960, was the first American filmto show a toilet on screen. It's also the first Hollywood film in which we hear a toilet being flushed.
The Simpsons is the longest-running scripted television series in history. The show first aired in 1989, and has released 684 episodes to date.

425g can tuna1 onion 1 clove of garlic15g butter1 tablespoon of lemon juice1 chicken stock tube1 cup of water1 teaspoon of French mustard 3 teaspoons of cornflour 1 tablespoon of cream or sour cream1/3 cup of grated cheddar cheese375g linguini pasta
1. Add pasta gradually to pan of boiling, salted, water.2. Boil uncovered 10 – 15 minutes.3. Drain tuna.4. Saute chopped onion and crushed garlic in butter until tender.5. Add lemon juice, crumbled stock cube, water, mustard and tuna.6. Add combined cornflour and cream.7. Stir until mixture boils and thickens.8. Remove from heat, add cheese, stir until melted.9. Pour over hot pasta.
