    Constellations (Nakshatra)

In addition to the division of the zodiac into 12 equal parts or signs in Vedic astrology there is a

parallel system of division of the zodiac into 27 parts or constellations (Nakshatras).Themeaning of such a dual system in the following. As we have said, the original source of all light,

all the energy in the universe is God. Refraction, this energy appears in the material universethrough the sun and then the moon. The sun is a source of direct energy, and the Moon - a sourceof reflected energy. They are called the king and queen of this universe. All the rest of the planet

is a partial manifestation of the primordial energy emanating from the Lord. They "work" in two

modes: radiating energy of a certain quality, and perceiving or reflecting power of appropriate

quality - that is, to "transfer" and "acceptance."

The division of the zodiac into 12 signs due to the influence of space on the characteristics of the

"transmitter" signal of the planet. They are associated with 12 Aditi - "brothers" of the Sun,completes global affairs in the universe. The division of the zodiac into 27 constellations

associated with the way the planets are, or reflect the energy of the appropriate quality at a given

point of space. In other words, the system of signs indicating the way we assert ourselves in thisworld, and the system of constellations - how we adapts to our environment.

Each constellation has a length of 360 / 27 = 13 20 '. The first constellation extends from thebeginning of Aries to 13 20 'Aries. Second constellation starts out up to 26 40 ', etc. As in the

case of signs of the zodiac on a division of 27 constellations - rough. There are more subtle

division. One of them - a division of the constellation of four quarters orpads. Each quarter is a3 20 '.

    The Vedic Calendar

Vedic calendar includes many types of dividing time into cycles of different lengths. If the mainelements of the horoscope (planets, signs, etc.) are used for astrological analysis of human

karma, the elements of the Vedic calendar used to solve everyday, everyday issues: the definition

of favorable and unfavorable periods, dates of celebration of spiritual and family holidays, the

choice of a suitable time for various undertakings (Muhurta). That is, they determine theenvironmental factors.

    Lunar day (Tithi)

In the lunar calendar, the unit of measurement is the lunar day or tithi.Tithi - a period during

which the difference in longitude between the Sun and the Moon varies by exactly 12 . Thus it

turns out only 30 tithi. The first 15 tithi growing moon called Shukla-paksha,and the second 15tithi waning moon -Krishna Paksha.

    Yoga

If we add longitudes of the sun and moon, subtract 360 , if the result is greater than 360 , the

sum divided by the length nakshatra 13 20 'and added to the integer portion of the unit, the

number will range from 1 to 27, which indicates proper yoga (t. e. the combination of the Sunand the Moon).

Each day begins with sunrise and ends with the sunrise the next day. This is different from the

modern concept of when the day starts at midnight (which is quite adequate for the Kali Yuga).

There are two definitions of hours as a measure of time. Time represents Saturn, who, accordingto Vedic history is the son of the sun. In fact, the Sun has two sons, one of whom is his follower,

and another - behaves independently, after which they are merged into one. Therefore, there is

another reference system start to the day - from 6:00 local astronomical time. This is moreapplicable for northern latitudes, where the sun does not rise sometimes, and sometimes - doesnot go. In the first case, the duration of the choirs - 1/24 difference between the time of sunrise

and the next day. The second - exactly 1 hour. Both systems are useful, but both have different

    meanings.

Every hour, operates one of the 7 major planets. The sequence of the planets reverse rate of their

motion relative to the Earth, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury and the Moon. Then -again, Saturn, etc.

The first chorus of any day of the week is managed host that day. Week starts on Sunday,

    managed by the Sun:

    Lunar year (Samvathsara)

Lunar Year starts with the compound of the Moon and the Sun in Pisces, that is, with the month

of Chaitra. Features lunar years associated with the position in the zodiac of the two slowestplanets - Jupiter and Saturn. Jupiter Zodiac bypasses the average for 12 years, and Saturn - in 30

years. The lowest common multiple of these numbers is 60. In accordance with this described

cycle 60 Samvathsaraor lunar age. However Samvathsara cycle is not an exact derivative of therelative motion of Jupiter and Saturn. This self-ring system. Countdown Samvathsara conducted
