Similar to the Adult Pan American Games, this event includes team, singles, and doubles. US Squash will support a contingent of players as a development opportunity for the country’s top ranked junior players. US Squash will nominate eight players—four girls and four boys—to represent Team USA with the players being selected based on the following criteria: 1. Eligibility Criteria In order for players to be considered for selection they must: Maintain full United States citizenship Must be Under-19 years of age as of the final scheduled day (09/06/15) of the Pan American Junior Championship Maintain US Squash membership from the start of the candidate process through the end of the competition Comply with all World Squash Federation eligibility requirements regarding international championships Have no documented serious on or off-court conduct violations of the US Squash Code of Conduct Sign and comply with all US Squash U.S. Junior Team policies and contracts 2. Selection Information The four (4) highest ranked U.S. Citizens competing in the Boys and Girls Under 19 Divisions, regardless of age eligibility to compete in future Pan American Junior competitions, who confirm their interest will be selected to represent US Squash at the 2015 Pan American Junior Championship. Rankings to determine the qualification for the 2015 Pan American Junior Championship will be based on the first rankings run (03/08/2015) after the 2015 U.S. Junior Championship (Closed) Selected players will have until June 24, 2015 to accept or decline the position on the team. Should a player decline a position then the next person that is age and rankings eligible will receive the invitation. 3. Selection Process The positions are first opened to the highest-ranked players finishing in the Top 20 in the BU19/GU19 Division. If there are no players that meet the criteria above, the top ranked players in the Under 17 Division will be invited in ranking order up to the No. 10 position. Rankings to determine qualification will be based on the first rankings run after the 2015 U.S. Junior Championship (Closed). 4. Tie-Breaker

Selection Criteria

In the event that two players are tied in ranking points, the following criteria will be used to determine qualification:

o 1. The most recent head-to-head match record between the two tied players (the match must have taken place since 04/30/14).

o 2. The player with the highest junior rating as of the first rankings run after the 2015 U.S. Junior Championship (Closed) (03/08/15).

5. Team Order of Play Once the Team has been selected, the Final Team order for the players will be at discretion of the National Team Coaches. Their criteria will be based on, but not limited to, the following:

On and Off-court behavior 6. Replacement & Removal of Athletes Replacement of Team members: Following final selection of the Team members, replacements will only be made if:

An athlete voluntarily withdraws due to injury or illness, certified by a physician. If an athlete refuses verification of his/her illness or injury by a physician, her injury will be assumed to be disabling and she may be removed.

A qualifying Team member voluntarily submits his resignation from the USJMT in writing to the National Coach at [email protected].

Removal of Team members:

Any documented violations of the US Squash’s Code of Conduct are potential grounds for removal from the Team.

7. International Disclaimer These procedures are based on World Squash Federation rules and regulations as presently known and understood. Any change in the selection procedures caused by a change in World Squash Federation rules and regulations will be distributed to the affected athletes immediately. The selection criteria are based on the latest information available to the US Squash. However, the selection process is always subject to unforeseen intervening circumstances and realistically cannot account for every possible contingency. 8. Compliance with US Squash, USOC and USADA Rules and Regulations

Players must be willing to submit Athlete Location Forms to the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency and comply with all US Squash, USOC and USADA regulations and requirements to remain eligible. Failure to comply will be met with disciplinary measures to be enforced by US Squash up to and including removal from the eligible player pool.

9. Registration Timeline

June 9, 2015 – Invitations sent to ranking eligible players

June 24, 2015 – Response Deadline for Acceptance of Position

10. Payment Players are responsible for a total payment of $3,250. This covers the following: 1. Travel from New York City

2. Accommodation

3. Food

4. Coaching

5. Team USA Apparel

6. Entry Fee Players will be responsible for their own spending money. 11. US Squash Coaches US Squash will be assigning two national/regional coaches and one team manager to accompany the players to the 2015 Pan American Junior Championship. Players may not bring their private/personal coaches on this Team USA trip. 12. Travel and Event Dates August 29: Depart from JFK Airport on an overnight flight August 30: Arrive into Resistencia, Argentina August 31 - September 6: Pan American Junior Championship September 7- Return to JFK from Resistencia, Argentina
