Created and Developed a Teen Library to provide Bibliotheraphy to At-Risk Teens. Created a Digital Citizenship Unit to promote and demonstrate responsible social media use. Utilized Social Media to launch communication with students, parents and community members. Smilebox and how to implement the use of them in daily lessons. Increased students Lexile Levels and commitment to become life long readers by implementing Myon.com an

interactive e-book library. Collaborated with faculty to incorporate engaging activities that supported Common Core Curriculum with enjoyable

literacy activities such as Game Day, Character Day, PJ Day, Living Museum Day/Biography Dress-up and Book Fair. Organized Family Literacy Night, Camp Can Do to support an AYP grant. Coordinated with the Pasadena Public Library to acquire students to receive cards and set up field trip to preview

services provided there. Planned a field trip to “Tween’s Read”, an annual event in Pasadena that showcases Young Adult Authors. Prearranged author visits through Skype. Then, set up and collaborated with teachers on setting up literature

activities to enhance the Author Question and Answer Time. Prepared a team to compete in a district Name That Book competition for three years. Participated as a judge. Trained teachers on how to use and incorporate The Big Six Research Model at the school and district level. Coached and supported Pre-AP and Advanced Academic teachers on how to implement the Gifted & Talented State

Standards Project. Projects included Recycling, Careers, Quilting, Countries and Holocaust. Increased circulation by purchasing and promoting high interest books, audio books and implementing an e-library. Introduced Challenged Based Learning by asking the question, “Will The Use of Web 2.0 Increase Literacy?” Set up and maintained a Professional Library for Faculty. Investigated sources and created web pages to support
