As we wrap up our Lenten season we ask that you bring your rice bowls back in the next few weeks. We will have a basket for you to return them in front of the ambo/pulpit. Thank you for your sup-port of Catholic Relief Services. We hope that the prayer, fasting and learning of the Rice Bowl pro-gram has made your almsgiving a meaningful ex-pression of practicing Lent this year. __________________________________________________________________________________________________

Bishop’s Appeal: This year’s theme, Rebuild My Church, was the message Jesus Christ spoke to St. Francis. At first, Francis took the assignment literally, physically restoring the abandoned chapel at San Damiano. Later, he came to understand his mission in a more spiri-tual sense: to return the church to the radical simplicity of the Gospel, the spirit of poverty, and the image of Christ in the poor. Soon other people joined Francis in his life of poverty, dedi-cating their lives to the teachings of Christ and by doing so, “Rebuilding Christ’s Church.” Bishop Barber’s mission is to build up Christ’s Church in the Diocese of Oakland by focusing on three pillars: the Sunday Mass experience; practicing spiri-tual and corporal works of mercy; and helping peo-ple become mis-sionary disciples.

April 13th, the parish office will be open from 9:30am - 12:30pm.
