Sunday, April 1 - Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord2012 Diocesan Missionary & Development Collection: Completion of the Our Lady of Mercy Church inNassrieh, Upper EgyptThis very poor community was successful in getting funding from their parishioners and internationalcharities, but still need vital support to complete it. For this last step, the church needs to acquire 120wooden pews, a wooden iconostasis and an altar as well as supplies for its total completion. The finalconstruction of the church will secure survival for this vulnerable small community.

Immediately following Easter we will beginplans for the Parish Supper. Each year wehave challenges in preparing for the day
but as the day unfolds we wonder what theworry was about. Thank you to all who giveso generously of time and talent.Currently, we need a volunteer to completethe roster of workers. This role is to co-ordinate the schedule of workers for the various shifts of the day. The food andthe hall preparations are looked after byother co-ordinators.
