SWIFT is an R-I band “AO-assisted” integral field spectrograph.

PI: Niranjan Thatte, University of Oxford

Schedule• Pre-Ship Review: April 2008.• Arrival at Palomar: 21 May, 2008.• Commissioning runs: 12-14 June.

Status• Currently manufacturing components and assembling instrument,

developing CCD cryostats and readout software.• Delay possible due to difficulty acquiring science-grade detectors

from LBNL.
