Documentation Required for your Jamaica Wedding:

(The listed documents (where applicable) must be forwarded and received at least 30 days before the desired wedding date. Use of a courier service is recommended as regular mail may be unreliable.)

• Notarized copies of bride’s and groom’s birth certificates.• Photo I.D. – Passport or Driver’s License• Proof of divorce (if applicable)—notarized copy of Final Divorce Decree.• Notarized copy of Death Certificate in the case of widow/widower.• Notarized copy of document supporting name change (if applicable) - adoption papers/ Deed Poll.• Parent’s written consent (notarized) if under age 18.• Legal translation of documents to English where originals are in another language.• Completed ‘Wedding Agreement Form’.

Documents received will not be returned by the resort.

Bride and groom must arrive in Jamaica at least 48 hours before the scheduled wedding, to comply with legal requirements and allow ample time for final wedding arrangements. Ceremonies should be reserved at least 6 months in advance; however, shorter reservation periods will be considered, based on availability.

A copy of the Marriage Register is given to the newlyweds upon conclusion of the ceremony by the marriage officer. Two certified copies of the original Marriage Certificate will be sent to you within 6 to 8 weeks following the ceremony.

Deposit and Cancellation Policy:

We require a deposit of US$300.00 to confirm your wedding. A completed Credit Card Authorization Form and a photocopy of the back and front of the signed credit card, along with a copy of the card holder’s Photo I.D. (Passport or Driver’s License) and a completed Wedding or Renewal of Vows Agreement Form, must be forwarded to the resort with a completed ‘Wedding Agreement Form’ within two weeks after wedding is reserved.

A cancellation fee of US$300.00 will be charged if ceremony is cancelled within two weeks of the scheduled date.

Conditions Applicable to Weddings & Renewal of Vows: In the event of bad weather, the ceremony cannot be cancelled; it will be relocated indoors to a back-up location.

PACKAGES CANNOT BE ALTERED – Wedding and Renewal of Vows packages are noncommissionable. Times and dates for ceremonies are scheduled based on availability. Since service and quality is our main goal, the resort currently does not handle more than four weddings per day.

How long do we have to be at the resort before we can get married?Bride and groom must arrive in Jamaica at least 3 days before the scheduled wedding, to comply with legal requirements and allow ample time for final wedding arrangements. Ceremonies should be reserved at least 6 months in advance; however, shorter reservation periods will be considered, based on availability.

Can relatives be witnesses? (i.e. parents )Yes, there is no problem if you decide to make your parents witnesses; however you will need to be sure that they have the complete documentation and also that witnesses are older than 18 years.

If I have guests who would like to attend the wedding, but will not be staying on the same property where the wedding will be performed, can they still attend the wedding? Yes.However, guests not staying at the resort must purchase a day pass upon arriving to the resort. The day pass gives the guest full access to the resorts amenities. (Please be sure to check restrictions for day passes with your wedding coordinator on site).

Can I pay for the wedding package and extra services at the resort?Yes, the payment can be done upon arrival to the resort. The payment can be: credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express), traveler’s cheques or cash.

When will we receive our marriage certificate?A copy of the Marriage Register is given to the newlyweds upon conclusion of the ceremony by the marriage officer. Two certified copies of the original Marriage Certificate will be sent to you within 6 to 8 weeks following the ceremony.

Does the Minister usually do a standard (generic) wedding or are we allowed to insert our own vows? The Minister has a standard ceremony; however if you have prepared your own vows there is no problem and we can incorporate them into the ceremony.

What happens if on our wedding day it rains?Since all the preparations have been organized in advance, we cannot cancel the ceremony; but you do not need to worry because we do have a backup plan at a nice location. (For any further info. please check with your wedding coordinator on site).

Where will our wedding ceremony take place ?There are two different locations: We have a gazebofacing the ocean, a bamboo arch on the beach and our backup location. The location will be selected during meeting with wedding coordinator.

Is there a place where bride can steam her dress?Yes... the resort offers this service, but it is necessary to request it ahead of time since we have several weddings performed in the same week. (For the cost please be sure to check with your wedding coordinator on site).Can we bring our own CD to be played during the ceremony?Of course you can bring your own music (walking down the aisle) so the ceremony can have a special touch.

Are hair and beauty services available at the resort?We do have a Spa that offers these services with an additional charge. We recommend that you contact them directly to get information, book in advance and get a discount on line.

What happens if one of my guests has allergies or is vegetarian?Do not worry about this; a special course is able to be prepared for them; however we will need thatyou please let us know in advance.

Is there a rehearsal?Since the ceremony is very short and simple, we feel that this is not necessary. During the meeting with your wedding coordinator it will be explained how the ceremony works so you can feel more relaxed.

Do I need to make a reservation in advance for the Spa?All Spa services need a previous reservation. Please consult the Spa personnel for rates and availability since this is an external company located in our facilities. When do I choose the flowers for my bouquet and check the last details?Upon your arrival to the resort, you and your future husband will be having a meeting with your wedding coordinator. She will be leaving a message in your welcome package which the front desk will be providing to you at the check in time. In that message you will be informed of the time, place and date where she will be meeting you to finalize the all arrangements, payment, etc.
