Hello Pirate Families,
This Friday, interim grades will be available in Home Access Center (HAC) for 3
rd – 5
th grades. Paper copies of
interim reports are sent home in 1st and 2
nd grades. As
always, our teachers are eager to partner with you for your child’s continued success. Please reach out to them if you have any questions after reviewing interim reports.
Jacksonville Icemen host Palencia Elementary School
This Sunday, February 11th
, the Palencia Pirate Chorus and Singing Scalawags will perform the National Anthem for the 3:00 Jacksonville Icemen hockey game at the Veterans Memorial Arena! The ticket form that was given to us is for the families of the singing students only.
If you would like to bring your family to the hockey game this Sunday, please go online and purchase your tickets through the Jacksonville Icemen website and use the code PIRATECHORUS. You will be able to purchase your tickets for the discounted rate of $15 AND a portion of all tickets sold with that code will come back to Palencia. **Remember, if your child IS performing with chorus, you must use the ticket form to purchase your tickets directly from the Icemen.**

two contact numbers.

Clinic News Please be aware that St John’s County
School District Policy states that children must be fever free (under 100.0 degrees) for 24 hours WITHOUT medication before returning to school. If they are sent home from school with a fever, they should not
return to school the next day.

Thank you to all who donated cans for Pa-
lencia Elementary’s Souper Bowl. As a
school we came together and were able to
donate 673 cans!! Way to go pirates!!

It’s Cold and Flu Season!
Please keep sick children home until they are fever and symptom free for 24 hours. Teachers would
welcome extra packs of tissues and Clorox wipes for their classrooms. Thank you.
3rd Grade Field Day

Jump Rope for Heart is happening this week in
all regularly scheduled PE Classes. Our fundraising
will continue through next Wednesday, February 14th.
Please turn in any event collection envelopes on/
before Valentine’s Day. At that time, we will order the
remainder of the “thank you” gifts from The American
Heart Association. Jump rope for Heart T- Shirts, jump
ropes, and balls take about 4-6 weeks to arrive for
distribution. Thank you for your patience regarding
the prizes and for your support of this very
important program.

GOAL: To provide parents of ESE, Gifted, and 504 students
with information to increase their understanding of ADHD
and manage related symptoms.
The purpose of the committee is to provide input to district
staff regarding our ongoing effort
to continuously improve services for students with disabilities.
