Why do you get addicted to painkillers?

People get addicted to painkillers because they had serious injures or accidents that may scar their brain in to thinking that with out the painkillers they would be in a lot of pain. Even after they have fully recovered their brain is still thinking it will be pain if you stop taking painkillers. If you do stop taking it, after a while you will feel uncomfortable and shooting pain. But in reality it was just your brain thinking it, its not real. The more you take the more you get addicted. The more you think you need it.
