Vison Statement:Every man who resides at the Open Door will embrace a life of sobriety based on the

spiritual principles of honesty, unselfishness and love.

Mission Statement: The Open Door provides supportive sober living where men recover from substance abuse

through the spirituality of the I2 Steps and can ultimately return to productive and sober lives.

Special Thank You to Promedica for the printing of our newsletters.

The Open Door began serving men in need in I984, offering a safe and sober environment for those men suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. As we enter our 33rd year, I’m proud of what the Open Door, as an organization and community member, has accomplished.

With the many changes and new opportunities taking place here at the Open Door we continue to garner great support from our donors and supporters, the community, and the men and their families that we serve.

Our vision is “Every man who resides at the Open Door will embrace a life of sobriety based on the spiritual principles of honesty, unselfishness and love.” Please help us continue to serve men in recovery by supporting our mission to achieve our vision.

The spirit of our mission resonates through the houses inspiring our residents to embrace the I2 Steps and apply them to their lives every day. Over the years I’ve watched the approach to treatment transform. But the foundation does not change – the I2 Step program is the most powerful and consistent tool one can use to sustain long-term recovery. When combined with the fellowship provided by support networks such as AA, NA and Al-Anon, individuals and families can find a healing environment.

Your support is greatly appreciated and we are committed to provide quality services to those who come to the Open Door for help. Donating to the Open Door is about having the fortitude to believe in the idea that everyone, including alcoholics and addicts, should be given another chance. It’s not about getting something back. It’s about supporting an organization that provides recovery services to everyday people. Please help us make a difference.

Help BenefitThe Open Door Ministry

SUPPORT THE CAUSE: The Open Door Ministry operates transitional housing facilities for men recovering from alcoholism and/or drug addiction. We provide a safe, sober and secure therapeutic home like environment for men in our group residential homes located in Toledo, Ohio. The residents of The Open Door come by way of referral from community agencies, missions, treatment facilities, hospitals, churches, established alumni and the legal system. Witnessing truthful, humble recovering men grow as people in sobriety, with realized personal serenity, is a rewarding exercise that never fails to deliver gratitude at the deepest emotional levels.

ONE MAN’S STORY

Thank you to those that have generously given towards the “One Life Changing Gift for Three Events” 20I7 annual campaign. Through your contributions we have reached our 20I7 goal of $23,000. We are so grateful for this support! Thank you! If you would like to partner with us or would like to know more about this opportunity to support men in recovery, please contact our office at 4I9-242-728I.

Thank you Troy Reilly for replacing our Open Door van decals recently. Your time, talent and treasure is greatly appreciated, thanks Troy!

Each year in June we send men that live at the Open Door on an all-expenses paid trip to Founder’s Day – the celebration of the founding of Alcoholics Anonymous in Akron, Ohio. This year we were fortunate to have the I5 passenger van that we typically rent, donated to us by Richard Cronin of the Perrysburg AutoMall! Thank you Richard for your thoughtful generosity!

Thank you Andrew Weaver, Open Door Board Member. Andrew volunteers his time teaching our residents the Back to Basics I2 Step recovery course on Sunday evenings. Thank you for your commitment to the men at the Open Door! You are greatly appreciated.
