1. When launching program for the first time do the following, otherwise proceed to step

11.

2. Launch program and select Registration of Device

5. If the machine is not listed, select “Search settings”

6. Select “IPv4 Broadcast”

7. Enter starting “IP address” and “Subnet Mask”

8. Highlight the desired machine and press “Select” and “OK”

9. Enter password in both spots (12345678)

10. Select “Close”

11. Highlight desired machine and select “Authentication/Address book”, make sure “Address

settings” is selected and select “Import”

14. To export data select “Export” from the File drop down and “Save address book in the Tab

Text type” and select directory to save file (file can be opened in Excel or Notepad)

12. Select “ Yes ”

13. Expand “Address settings” and s elect “ Address book ”

Note: The following is the procedure for restoring the address book. It can be used to

restore an address book to a new machine other than the one that was previously

saved. Also see instructions for multiple machines (step 22). If you are just backing up

and restoring the address book on one device it is recommended to use the

import/export feature for the address book within the web utilities.

15. To restore the address book select “Import” from the File drop down and “Import

each data from the file”

16. Select Import data from the first line and check the boxes for the destination types to

import and hit “Next”

17. Use row one as the header line and select “Tab” for the delimiter and hit “Next”

18. Match the “Allocation of import field” with the “Import field list” and hit “Next”

19. Select all the fields for import, Hit “Select” and “Import”

20. Depending on what is being imported this screen may appear, check the appropriate boxes

and “OK”

21. When the update screen appears hit “Export to the device” to save the changes

Note: The following are instructions for managing address books for multiple machines.

22. Access the “Top Menu” and select “Settings for multiple device” then “Address Book

maintenance”. Previous sessions need to be closed first.

23. Select the desired devices from the list and hit “Next”

24. When import complete is displayed for all the selected devices hit “Next”

25. This screen will appear which is an accumulation of the addresses in all the selected devices

26. Select all that you want to appear in all address books of all the selected devices and hit “Next”

27. Select all of the addresses and hit “Edit” then check the box in the Batch editing screen and “OK”

28. Then Add will appear next to the addresses that will be copied to the other device(s), hit

“Next”

29. The following screen will appear indicating what changes will be made to each device, hit “Start”

to make the changes

30. When you see this screen all the entries that had been selected are now in the address book of

every Konica device that was included, even if the models were different.

31. If desired, you can “Display a detailed log” or you can hit “Finished” and close Data

Administrator
