1. Actual bid due date?

Answer: The bid opening date has been extended to April 3, 2019 not later than 2:00 p.m.

2. How the design need to be submitted? Ans: As mentioned in the solicitation if we are using sa me material suggested by University (Robbin Sports Floor),

design part is already mentioned in the so licitation . If we are using other material then we need to provide the design details as described in solicitation.

Answer: The Statement of Work included a certain flooring system to be used as a basis of design. It is not required that the offerors use that flooring system. Should the offeror decide to use a different type of flooring system, then the offeror will need to indicate that in the offer and describe the flooring system that they intend to use instead.

3. Test for flooring? Ans: As a Contractor we need to provide our proposal one with assuming after testing there is no Urethane in the floor and other with the floor containing Urethane material removal

Answer: To account for the possibility of having to remediate the existing flooring, offerors shall

provide an add-a ltern ate amount as a separate line item in their proposal for the remediation ofthe exist ing floor should test results prove positive.

4.What is the grade of wood & type of finish to be used - oil base or water base? Could not find in spec.

Answer : The grat of wood is 2nd

or better.

5. What is ha+ening with the electric box in the gym floor?

Answer: The electrical outlets in the floor must remain in place and functional. The floor will need to be framed arou nd the outlet with possibly an access box installed if the outlets will not be even with the new floor.

6. Is it possible to cut the interior doors & install ramps on exterior of doors to eleviate tripping hazards?

Answer: Yes. To accommodate for the need to provide a slight ramp, the ramp should be constructed on the outside of the entrance doors and the door heights will be adjusted by the contractor.

7.Can I have a copy of the sign-in sheets for the site visit?

Answer: A copy is attached.

8. The specs call for Bio-Channel 5B floorin g, but page 61 state Bio-Classic, which one is

correct?

Answer: The basis of design is th e Bio-Channel 5B is the flooring system.

9. The Bio-Channel 5B is the low profile system.

Answer: The Bio-Channel 5B is as shown on the attached drawing.

10. Is there any mechanical or electrical work included?

Answer: There is an electrical outlet on the side of the main court used for the scorer's table. That electrical outlet will remain . The contractor will need to maintain access to that outlet once the new floor is installed (see answer to question #5 above). There is no mechanical work.

11. Is a building permit requ ired?

Answer: Assume that a building permit will be required.

We request further clarification on the below listed items:

1. Is a building permit needed for this project?

ANSWER: Assume that a building permit is needed for this project.

2. Is new gaming equipment needed as part of this project? If so, please provide us with a list.

ANSWER: No new gaming equipment is needed as part of this project, however, new sleeves

for the standards/uprights to hold the volleyball netting are to be provided and installed for the

volleyball courts - on the main court and on one of the side courts.

3. Any mechanical, electrical and plumbing work (if any) is part of this project?
