The President's Cornerby Robert A. Nelson II

I would like to extend a huge thank you on behalf of the Brotherhoodto our fellow Brother Joe Vaughn on the tremendous work he did on the Rathskellar. For those who have not had an opportunity to see therecently remodeled downstairs stop on by the Lodge and have a look!Another special thank you to both the Sandwich Night and Fish Fry crews for all of the work they do to draw in crowds on Friday Nights! The Brotherhood is looking for individuals interested in filling various committees. Anyone interested in helping out in any facet should contact the Lodge. The Lodge is also seeking guest speakers

who wish to speak at meeting nights. Guest speakers can discuss any topic—with the exception of politics and religion—or skill which will benefit the Lodge and the members in attendance. Guest speakers can sign-up at the Lodge and select the meeting of their choice. The goal of adding speakers to meeting nights is to encourage members to attend meeting nights and have something additional to look forward to. Speakers can be any individual, business owner, tradesman, or skilled person of any gender or age regardless of membership with something to contribute.

Thank You,Robert A. Nelson II

BROTHERHOOD BRIEFS!With deepest regret and profoundest sorrow it is the sad duty of the Lodge to report we have lost a link in our fraternal chain of Brothers. Brother Eric Olson born April 21, 1948 passed onto the eternal brotherhood of man on Dec. 18, 2016. Please take a moment of silence to pay respect and to remember one of our own.

The lodge would like to extend is deepest condolences to Jim Vescova on the passing of his Wife Carol.

The family of Angelo DiCello extended a thank you to the Danish Brotherhood Lodge #14 for the memorial contributed in remembrance of our late Brother.

Lou Andrea and his wife thanked the Brotherhood for the donation made in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary. Congratulations again!

The January Fish Fry served over 71 people! Profits from the Fish Fry were contributed to the purchase of a brand new Smart TV.

Chili Night served 27 bowls to attendees and had a tremendous bar!

BUILDING UPDATES!The Rathskellar remodel has been completed and the bar looks substantially brighter and far more inviting. Work has also begun at the bottom of the stairs to expand the landing and mitigate water leaking in through the foundation.
