• Connecting People to your group:–People are longing to be connected.

•We are living among those feeling lost, last (left our), and lonely, inside.

–Do things together beyond the meeting night. •Sit together at church. -Go out to dinner. -Watch the big game. -Help each other out. -Serve together as a group.

•Spending informal time together will help deepen your friendships.

–Have the open door and empty chair available. •Be open to someone bringing someone new to the group.

•God is always at work in building relationships in people’s lives.

•Remember just as Christ is the Head of the Church, He is the Head or your House Group.

• Christ Centered Relationships:–Everyone has the need for

•Relationship (love); and Purpose (a reason to live).

–There is a dark hole within each human being longing to be fulfilled.•Worldly alternatives are substituted as a solution to fill this void.

•These substitutions, in lieu of Christ, (human love, achievement, wealth, etc.) can and will produce additional problems in our lives.

–No one and nothing, except Christ, can fill this void within.•The single most important relationship a person will ever have, is one with Jesus Christ.

•As Disciples of Christ, He enables us to become the salt and light of the earth, introducing people to Him by what He has done for us.

•We plant the Seeds, water the soil, and tend to the flock accordingly. Our role, when suffering occurs, is to help other’s focus on Christ. He offers the solution in response to Him.

• Caring for the People in your group:–Genuinely care about your group members.

•Regularly think about them and what's going on in their lives.

•Make them part of your ongoing thoughts; not just something you think about on group nights. -Form the habit of daily prayer for each member.

–Cultivate a climate where people can share authentically about their lives.

•If the conversation is only superficial or sticks solely to Bible facts, then it's hard to develop genuine care about each other.

–Work at creating cross-care among your group.

•Leaders always set the pace by modeling.

•You can't do all the caring. Help your group members minister to and pray for one another.

•You'll know you're really there when you start finding out about things second / third hand.
