Packards’ Progress October 2015 October Update The latest news in our upcoming “‘round the world” journey of Bible teaching! It’s hard to believe, but in exactly three months, we’ll be in Ukraine, beginning statraining with Titus Project Kyiv! What once felt like a far away, somewhat far -fetched plan, is quickly feeling like reality. Fundraising News You may remember that last month, we were believing for $5000 before the end of September. Not surprisingly, God came through! This past weekend, we hosted a fundraising Night of Music & Missions, which further added to our funds. To date, between finances in hand and commitments to give, we have almost $8700 towards Titus! This means over $5000 has come in since our previous update. It is mind-boggling and miraculous; thank you to all who have been a part of this tremendously encouraging increase. What a testimony of God’s provision. As we’ve crunched the numbers, we estimate the total need for our time in Ukraine/Central Asia/Taiwan will be approximately $14,700 (see our budget on the following page). This means we need to see about $6000 come in over the next three months. We’d love it if you would pray for us about this need. God has provided abundantly for us, and we really trust He will bring in all that is needed. We are looking forward to another fundraiser in November (we’ll share more next month, but to give you a couple of hints, this fundraiser will a) be accessible to anyone almost anywhere in the world, and b) help you jump start your Christmas shopping!). If you’re interested in giving towards our time with Titus Project this Winter/Spring, please refer to the “tax-deductible gifts” column on the next page. Thank you! 1 Happy (Canadian) Thanksgiving from Turner Valley! We hope your holiday weekend was a blessed time of rest and gratitude for all of God’s gifts. We are so thankful for you and your participation in what God is doing in and through us.

October Update The latest news in our upcoming “‘round the world” journey of Bible teaching!

It’s hard to believe, but in exactly three months, we’ll be in Ukraine, beginning staff training with Titus Project Kyiv! What once felt like a far away, somewhat far-fetched plan, is quickly feeling like reality. #

Ukraine/Central Asia/Taiwan Budget !Flights to Kyiv & Taipei: $5000 #Passport/Visa Expenses: $595 #

Travel Insurance: $883.11 #Ground Fees for Kyiv: $771 #

Flights to Central Asia: $1790 #Estimated Ground Fees in Central Asia: $5106 #

Ground Fees for Taiwan: $542 !“Ground fees” include housing, food, translators, travel in country, etc.,

and are based on recommendations from other Titus teams."!* This budget is an estimate in Canadian dollars, very dependent on the exchange rate, as most of the above expenses will be paid in other

currencies. The numbers above reflect the exchange rate when we worked out our budget in September.

Obviously, finances is a big prayer request, but we would also love prayer in the following areas:#

1) Wisdom for visa applications. One of the countries we will be visiting has particularly difficult visa requirements. We need wisdom on how to proceed.#

2) Preparing for Titus. We are incredibly busy in the day-to-day work of keeping YWAM Turner Valley eating, paying bills, and running efficiently, and we’ll both be teaching on the SBS here in November. In the meantime, we need to be getting ready for outreach to Central Asia, and the lecture phase in Kyiv. In Ukraine, we’ll both be teaching two four-hour lectures, and we’ll be co-teaching Bible Overview. We’d love prayer as we prepare for the different aspects of staffing Titus.#

3) Reliance on the Lord. In all the busyness of our roles, it’s easy to lose perspective. We want relationship with God to be primary in our lives, and would really value prayer that we would look to Him first in all things.

“…you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
