1. Company History

The history of TART began more than 20 years ago and it has undergone great changes since then.

From a small company with no employees, it is now profiled as the number one company on the

Czech market in industrial packaging.

The most important milestones of its history:

1991 Michal Hort and Václav Tauber found the company TART, s.r.o. - the Czech business compa-ny delivers packaging materials mostly to industrial companies

1993 commencement of production of packaging materials, namely packing straps with printing

1994 packaging machines were included in the assortment

1997 commencement of own polyethylene production

1998 commencement of bubble film production

1999 capital affiliation with American multinational company Sealed Air Corporation

2000 commencement of packaging production within Packaging Solutions

2001 commencement of company exporting activity

2001 foundation of TARTEX - a subsidiary company in Slovakia

2003 Division of Anticorrosion Protection was established on grounds of license production of Cortec materials

2005 TART obtained Abest company in Poland through acquisition

2006 foundation of Autopack – a subsidiary company in Romania

2007 the company reached annual turnover of more than 1 billion CZK for the first time

2. Present Days

The activity of TART has recently been divided into

seven independent production divisions, which

were established and which focus on different tasks

according to the requirements of our business part-

ners and market opportunities. The core business

remains in the protection of a product during the

logistic process, within which we are able, apart

from the delivery of a wide portfolio of packaging

materials and packaging machines, to create a

unique bespoke packaging solution according to

our customer‘s need.

Division of Anticorrosion Materials delivers protecti-

ve systems against corrosion to our partners which

are used not only during transport and storage.

Division of Envira® Biodegradable Materials focuses

on the development, production and sale of na-

ture-friendly packaging that meet the most strict

standards and criteria.

Division of Sunflex® Thermoreflective Foils puts ener-

getically economical reflective foils on the market.

Through its subsidiary companies, TART operates

beside the Czech Republic, also in Slovakia, Poland,

Romania and Turkey.

There are several production plants within the

company which realize our own production of

packages and packaging materials. The firm uses

its own development and design center and it has

been cooperating with the top high schools and

universities for a long time. It participates in the

development of applications utilized in the field of

packaging technologies, and in development of

new innovative solutions.

The goal of Division of Packaging Machinery is to solve concrete customer‘s requests for product packaging which is granted by the offer of a complete assortment of wrapping, strapping, carton sealing and shrink wrapping machines and heat sealers and complete pac-kaging lines. Our suppliers are world attested manufacturers with which we have concluded long-term supplier agreements and relation-ships.

We provide an advisory service and coun-seling to our customers when choosing the most suitable packaging machine. High-qua-lity and quick service of packaging machines, both warranty and after-warranty service, is granted. Well-stocked and continuously supp-lied storage of spare parts enables to deliver service in a short-term period.

As part of a comprehensive packaging di-vision we develop and produce packaging solutions that meet the most demanding customer requirements and needs. Long-term activity of TART s.r.o. in the field of packaging, state-of-the art technological equipment in the new production plants, a well-coordinated team of skilled specialists, wide distribution network and proven tech-nical and professional contacts constitute an ideal environment for comprehensive pac-kaging solutions to customer needs. Anticorrosion System

Division of Anticorrosion System provides, within the license of the multinational company Cortec, an innovative solution of corrosion protection for engineering, power, petrochemical, metal working, telecommu-nications, electronics, building, automotive industries and other fields. TART is an exclu-sive supplier of these products in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The system of complete corrosion protection that was developed and continuously impro-ved by Cortec company includes these main groups: anticorrosion packaging materials, anticorrosion curing agents, cleaners and degreasers, rust removers, anticorrosion

additives for water-based fluids or solution--based fluids, anticorrosion additives for elastomers, metal-cutting emulsions that prevent corrosion occurrence; permanent, temporary or transport anticorrosion coating and migration corrosion inhibitors for rein-forced-concrete structures.

Professional counseling and training of the employees in the field of anticorrosion pro-tection is granted.

Anticorrosion System

TART offers a complete solution of logistic process mainly to companies and firms that realize foreign business and whose products require non-standard packaging and protecti-on, mostly for overseas packaging.

Our industrial export packaging service is a process involving the whole range of partial steps, beginning with consultancy and de-signs of packaging, through their production and professional packaging of concrete pro-ducts, to transportation provision. Warranty and guarantees are granted.

Biodegradable Packaging


Envira® Biodegradable Packaging helps protect the environment. They are made of renewable raw materials (corn, soya) and they may be fully composted after the end of their life. Envira® packaging does not cause any ecological load - on the contrary, they fertilize the field.

Envira® Biodegradable Packaging is produ-ced in agreement with the standard ČSN EN 13432 (requirements for packaging suitable for composting and that holds OK Compost certification).

TART regularly invests substantial financial assets into the development of biodegradable packaging as we are persuaded that eco-frien-dly packaging is the future of packaging.

SUNFLEX® Thermoreflexive Foils are an excel-lent supplement to common insulation sys-tems for building structures. They distinctive-ly contribute to the reduction of heat losses in the winter season and they increase comfort during summer months.

Packaging Process Analysis

Our experts are able to analyze and optimize the existing packaging processes, identify weaknesses, and propose corrective measu-res, thus reduce the customer’s packaging costs. We can also design the most suitable packaging process for the client’s future pro-jects, including suitable packaging machines and optimal packaging.

Packing development

For our customers and their products we are able to develop the most suitable packaging that reflects the demands for the protection of goods, method of manufacture and batch size, the requirements for handling and logistics, and of course the purchasing costs of the packaging. For the development of packaging, we have our own development centre with excellent equipment and a team of qualified technicians. Packaging develop-ment is also supported by close cooperation with professional schools and universities.

Testing of packages

In addition to the actual development of new packaging we also perform testing of the existing and packaging materials. For this purpose we have an equipped testing labo-ratory. We perform tests of material compos-ition, strength, endurance and load-bearing capacity of packaging, drop tests and many others.

Our portfolio of packaging solutions and packaging processes also includes related services that

enable our customers to reduce product protection costs and facilitate their production process.

Just In Time

We offer our customers supplies of packages on the basis of the Just-In-Time principle (JIT). It is a system of packaging supplies according to current need, at a time and quantity desi-red by the customer. JIT supply service prima-rily reduces the customer costs of storage and handling with packaging and increases the efficiency of their production. With a network of distribution and logistics centers and a sophisticated logistics system, our company can even serve customers within a 24/7 mode or provide packaging distribution throughout the branch network of the customer.

Kitting

Kitting is a service within the supply of complex packages, which consist of several different parts and often of different materials. Within this service we supply already assem-bled complex packaging that is ready for immediate use. This service can also include the packaging process of the product.

Education

We organize professional training and con-ferences, whereby we pass our experience in various fields of industrial packaging onto our corporate customers and get them acquain-ted with the latest trends and illustrative case studies. Thanks to gained knowledge and information, the customers can better under-stand the issues of packaging, and thus, inter alia, optimize costs not only of the package alone, but often the entire logistics process.

All activities of TART, s.r.o. - being a manufacturing and business consulting company, conform to the quality management system under ČSN EN ISO 9001-2009 standard and environmental management system under ČSN EN ISO 14001-2005 standard. The company supplies only products that are fully recyclable and environmentally friendly. It is a member of an organization providing ecological proce-ssing of waste – EKO-KOM (certification No. EK-P03010033).
