• Large amounts of deinking sludge (DS) are generated in millsproducing recycled fiber from recycled paper. These mills remove theprinting ink from paper fibers of recycled paper and this processcreates a sludge.

• Polymer composites had been mixed from DS in combination with PEand PP

Once the CO2 level had stabilized, thefoam samples were added to thebioreactors and mixed with the activatedcompost

Green compost was placed in a closed glassbioreactors for 4 to 5 days at 58°C and 70–80%RH for biological activity renewal (CO2)

The cumulated CO2 released bymicroorganism was detected by aninfrared gas analyzer
