Pacific Northwest Forest Friends-4th Grade
This unit will be used in a fourth grade class.
It is an interdisciplinary unit on forests that primarily addresses the social sciences, literacy and arts curriculum.
Curriculum Framing Questions
Essential Question:
How can we respect and
understand the earth?

How are forests important to the earth and it’s people?
What are some things that we can do to save forests?
Oregon State StandardsFourth Grade Standards for Social Science, Art and Literacy:
El.04.RE.03: Listen to, read, and understand a wide variety of informational and narrative text, including classic and contemporary literature, poetry, magazines, newspapers, reference materials, and online information.
